I'm going to agree with you here. C'mon, Bart, you have a prior. On top of that, you HAVE NOT learned your lesson...which is evident by you having weed and a pipe in the car

I neither empathize or support your rants on cops.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I wasn't posting it to get support or empathy. I was wondering in the beginning how it worked in Cali for searching your car. I know they can get you for the BAR and SMOG **** and all. What all do they need to check for it? That's why I was originally asking. Me getting pulled over last night was the coincidence to wondering about it. Also I hoped my situation would help others in such times, with teaching them to tell cops to get a warrant or probable cause.

Also I didn't have weed or a pipe in my car. No one can prove otherwise either. I did learn though, I am way more careful than I was prior. Plus I learned how to manipulate the situation and to get out clean. I've also decided to be even more careful now, and keep all contraband in a secret place, unless absolutely necessary to transport it. I took this situation as a wake up call. Keep it on the down low for now, and get the F out of Ohio, and move to a state with medical marijuana.

X2, I've been in the same situation before. I let them search me, and I got arrested. I learned an important lesson then. No probable cause, no warrant, GTFO copper!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by -NA-aLL-thE-wAy- &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Given your prior, the officer had "reason to believe," not exactly "probable cause." He knew that perfectly well, which is why he asked to perform the search. When you denied his request, he pushed the issue by bluffing on the K9 unit. Many people would have fallen for his bluff and given permission for the search, which would validate his search and in turn cause any paraphernalia he might find to be permissible evidence against you.

He was doing his job and it sounds like he did respect your civil rights by not performing the search. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Exactly he had "reason to believe". Not "probable cause". Which is why he was stuck. It wasn't my first run in with cops, and my experience gained me the knowledge get out of the situation clean. Your also right. He never violated my civil rights. He attempted too, but I shot that down with my knowing of the illegal search and seizure laws. They always attempt too. All you got to do is keep it cool, and don't buckle under pressure.

If they dont have "probable cause" right then and there, just give them a few minutes, they'll come up with it. I wouldnt challenge an officer either, thats just asking for it.

In cali, if they wanna pop your hood, they'll do it. As for "probable cause" to do so, see above.

I was pulled over last night. The cop asked about my previous drug conviction, then proceeded to ask about searching my car. I told him sure as long as you have a warrant or probable cause, none of which you have. He then said he would radio for a K9 unit to check my car. I waited like 10min. He then came back to my car, and said the k9 was on the way, and asked my why my eyes were so red. He then asked if I ever had a dui, and then proceeded to administer a field sobriety test. I passed, and he let me go. K9 never came. It was probably just a bluff. It cracks me up they think they can trample on your civil rights like that. He had no right to search my car, but since I had a prior, he felt like he should. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I was obliterated. It was a total buzz kill. Although I was so high, I was still moderatly high afterwords. Then I picked up some 50 an 1/8 **** with my boy. It was all over from there. I haven't smoked at all today. First day in a good number of weeks. It felt weird....

Anyway back to EF related news. I scored some freebies today for the HF. First I went and helped a good friend of mine's cousin with his CRX. He also has a 88 DX CRX that he bought for parts, and was in his back yard. He had 2 good door windows he was throwing out. So now I have back ups for it and the KRX for they both have 88 doors now. The windows in the HF were screwed too so they will become the spares, and the new ones I got will get tinted tomorrow, and installed next week. IF any of you have searched for 88 door glass in a crx it is near impossible to find, so I was severly amped to score it for free!

Then we went to my other friend's house to check out his new AWD Talon he bought. It is clean, and made like 550ish, and is hella sick. Stock wheels, and all. No visual distinctions other than the FMIC. The car is sick. He got it for 4K, and the previous owner ran a 12.3@115 with it. He also had the t25 off of his 2G Talon he had sold sitting in his garage. He offered to sell the t25 to me the day after I bought my header for my HF. Today he gave it to me. So I am gonna find an A6 to build for it, and in the mean time start amassing parts to put it on the D16B2(dx motor) in the HF now. So the HF is going to get a little positive manifold pressure in the near future. I am not going to do anything too crazy. Just small turbo, small motor, small numbers. Keep it simple and reliable. I know the D15B2 won't hold up to boost long, so thats why I'm looking for a motor to build. I have a Si trans sitting around I can put in too. I am tired of HF gears. and a shitty DX motor. I want it to be a little more peppy thats all. I now need a small fmic, some dsm 450s, a bov, and some u bends. I think I may have to build a 3" for my KRX and put the 2.5" thermal on the HF now. Don't you love how free parts start projects you didn't want to start.....

Cliff notes:

I got some 88 crx door glass, and a t25 for free tonight!!!

You drive a slow *** car for a daily right? Okay then you feel my pain. I am going to spend very little on this project. Also don't forget I have a Samurai that needs to be running by the time the snow hits too. The KRX is backburnered untill the Sammy is done. I am kinda glad my body man is a [freak]. I hauled the KRX home. I am going to build the cage, and get everything done, then have him get back on it next spring. The Sammy must be done first for winter transportation, and for practice building a cage.

weird, just have someone water jet the flange, are there any markings on the turbo? maybe that will help in your search for the right flange

The best thing to do to figure out what flange it is, is to measure the distance between the center of each hole and compare to the 5 bolt flanges on the market.

Or weld a 3" vband directly on the turbo and close the gate hole as long as your using external gate.

I need some help guys... Some of my accents are going to be chrome. I really wanted my roll bar in chrome as well... But so far I have found zero places that can get it done. The bar is currently in Los Angeles because this local shop sent it down there to be done... Ya, that was a bad idea. Anyone have a place that can for sure do it? Im kinda desperate right now. The issue is the size, the thing wont fit in the tanks
