Sucks man. Your sig says BAR certified. Did that play a role in any of this? I mean i can see how he got you for the stuff without a carb number though.

thanks for your help guys. I am pretty sure he pulled a fast one on me. i [freak]ing hate cops. Never believe a word out of their mouths. I need to get my car signed off at the police station and I just want to make sure that I am high enough. I think I will look up exactly what the penal code says. I am pretty sure I am already at a legal height. Several years ago when my car was much lower I was pulled over for the same reason, and those cops said it all checked out.

you have to take off the sun visors and rear view mirror. then you have to take out the dome light and two clips in the back. after all that it is possible to coax it out from the sides of the plastic interior pieces for removal. for installation i popped off the plastics on the front a pillars then put the headliner up. held it up by fastening the rear view mirror back on. then i removed the seatbelt bolts since my hatch is an '88. popped the tops off the rear 1/4 plastics and fit the panel up and popped em back in.. voila!

Don't. It will look terrible. Plus it will be impossible to keep clean. Just keep the black carpet.

looks good woody, as it gets harder to find pieces, this will be one way to make the headliners look good again.

yup i used headliner spray that holds up in the heat. spray one half and lay it out, then finish by doing the other half. spray lightly and be careful, dont let the glue seep through the cloth.
