The Official EF Discussion Thread
how many people are running 205/50-15 tires on their CRX? How do you guys like 'em? seems like they are a popular tire size. Are the sidewalls too soft for anyone? how do they look?

Tell me, do you rub when you go over bumps, or when you change lanes for that matter?
Are you planning on swapping those wheels out for something smaller and more practical?
Those wheels don't look at all bad in my opinion, just not on your car. I'm not trying to get you to "conform" to the HT way of fifteens and nothing larger but something like a 15'' or a 16'' wheel would serve your car better and ride a lot nicer with more meat on the tires.

Yeah still get a plane, but it isn't as cool, or fast as the old one. Just a single engine Cesna 172. Insurance was too steep on the RV.

Which version RV did you have? A family friend recently built an RV-4. Saw him build it up over the course of a few years...was nuts seeing it go from sheetmetal and rivets to a full airplane
**Edit: Btw, does anyone know if a DA non-ABS brake booster + ITR brakes + 1" MC is overkill for a primarily street-driven EF hatch? Pretty sure this setup is way better than stock, but at the same time I don't want to be locking up my wheels everytime I stop at a light. Will be running 205/50/15 Falken Azenis if that matters.

It's overkill because you'll never use the full potential of that set-up on the street. You won't lock up the brakes or anything like that unless you slam on them, but any braking system without ABS should do that.
It's just a nice, solid brake set-up for a street car.

Thanks for the insight. I guess I'll go with the 1" setup for now since I'm replacing everything anyways and hopefully someday soon I'll be able to see the full potential of the setup on track

We built an RV7A. Which in my opinion was gay. I prefer tandem to side by side, but it was the old man writting the checks. He then realized because of the insurance cost of the 7, and the what not, that a 4 is a better choice. We will probably be building one of those in the near future. It was nuts building it, and then flying in it. Kinda scarey actually, I mean I am confident in my work, but who knows what Pops did when I wasn't around.
I have a 1" MC, with a 290V booster, with ITR/Accord Wagon brakes, and DA disc in the rear. I love my setup, but I prefer a shorter pedal stroke. Some like a little more pedal. Allot of it is prefferance. Some will prefer 15/16s, and some will like 1", it just depends on the driver. I do like to test passenger's collarbones sometimes, by slamming them on. It hurts pretty good with stock seatbelts. Once I get some harnesses, it should hurt less, and just pull a good amount of neg. G's.

This is my friend Keith's RV4 in the background-

Cool little airplanes. My other friend Orion is still in the process of building his. There's nothing like ordering an airplane kit and having it shipped to your house!
