first thing im gonna do is put the tofu shop sticker the HACHI-ROKU (hehe, only ricers call it that).
found some issues with the deal. the back registration is 342.00. so i left a voicemail to get a lower price. the guy picked it up from the last owner and didn't non op or renew registration. im pissed. on the brighter side, you know how they always say you find the car you want after you buy one, i found a 1962 ragtop bug in fresno on the new IRS/ balljoint frame (from a 70s bug) for 2800. that actually was exactly what i have been waiting to find. so if this deal falls thru, i may just get that bug instead. either way, i see myself being really happy with either car.

im trying to find a shop open today to redo my rear drum brakes and flush new fluid. my normal shop has been closed for no reason the last 2 weekends.

/\/\/\lol for random *** statements.

I do agree though...sucks *****.
Ive used zip ties that help the process go by a little easier than trying to re-use or using the little metal clams.

FYI: for anyone planning on buying JDM seats

everything you read on H-T about swapping seat pans is BS when it comes to working on JDM seats
The concept is not the same

If you have a passenger side JDM seat and you want to fit it into a 90-91 Civic then you need a driver side seat from a USDM car.
What you will end up doing is using basically the bottom of the USDM seat and taking the "seat cover" off of the JDM seat. After swapping those you bolt the JDM upper portion of the seat on the the newly wrapped USDM bottom of the seat
And you now have JDM seats in you 90-91 civic.
If you have a 88-89 civic you have nothing to worry about. Just purchase JDM seats, unbolt or seats from car and install new JDM seats.

I have searched and have not found this information anywhere in the Civic/CRX portion of the forum.

Reason I am saying this is because I purchased a driver side JDM seat (our passnger side) w/ the hopes of simply swapping the seat pans from the 90-91 passenger side seat.
It does not work this way for two reasons:

Pivet point on the JDM driver side seat is in the same position of the Pivet point on a USDM driver side seat. So even if you swapped the seat pans you would still have a Driver side seat. and vise versa.
2nd reason is the seat rails are not interchangble. Meaning you can use a driver side seat rail on a passenger side seat unless you do some fabricating and welding.

Only other option in a situation like this is to totally take off the "seat covers" from the seats and swap them out.

This sounds totally easy but it is something I have never done before so if anyone knows of a write up or something like that it would be greatly appreciated.
I don't want to mess up some perfectly good seats for the sake of a write fr everyone else.

Up until now still haven't gotten around to doing it.

Got pulled over tonight right after I pulled out of my workplace. ******** said that he pulled me over because my car was lowered. I was really tired and fell for his threats, so I popped my hood for him. He got me for my Assword intake and RMF header. I also have to have my ride height inspected and written off by a police officer. The officer said that the law stated that he had to be able to put three fingers in between the wheel and fender. What kind of bull is this? Does anybody in here know what the actual law says?

I believe the center of the headlight cannot be any lower than 22 inches off the ground, the lowest portion of the body/frame can't sit lower than the lowest part of the rim, and the rims cannot tuck into the fenders (tires ok to tuck).

Vega-I could've told you that about the seats, I found that out years ago when I bought an 89 passenger seat for my hatch LOL As a matter of fact, I just did the same seat pan swap that you're attempting to do last week in a buddy's hatch...

that sounds like total BS
why in the hell would a police officer, protector and instater of the law be using fingers as a measureing tool

well thanks

I was actually going to call you to see if you knew anything about the whole thing.

I purchased like three different seats from the junk yard trying to figure this whole thing out.

I just ended up swapping the seat skins onto a passenger side seat.
You still have to make a new whole in the cushion and fabric for the pivet (because of being reverse sides and all)

I'll probably be finished today
a whole saturday wasted doing this
