I hate to keep interupt the arguing, but I have a question.

Anybody ever repaint their moldings and/or black bumpers with Bumper Black? Should I use some steel wool or something to scuff them up first, or just clean them and paint away?

the paint would stick better if you scuff it up with something stell wool would be fine or anything similar to that

I've decided not to paint my std. hatch like an Si. Instead I'm just going to repaint the bumpers and moldings. I have all the moldings off anyway, since I was originally going to paint it. I'm hoping I can just buff out the body and call it good.

Got it. I'm going to take them out to the shop at my grandma's, since the heat is on out there. The paint says it has to be 70+ degrees. This way I can get that all done and not wait until summer

i use scotch brite pads...(grey prefferably the reds tend to leave kinda bigger scratches) and i use comet. thats the way I do it and they have been holding up fine for a while now.

scotch brite (fine) clean clean and more clean...spray a few light coats of adhesion promoter and your choice of trim paint keep the coats of paint light.

sorry, i meant to post this sooner.

shake down the front end, you may have a severely loose ball joint/tie rod end that decided to show up since you unweighted/repositioned the front end.</TD></TR></TABLE>

The tie rod ends were fine and same with the LCA and UCA balljoints.
$80 later I have a new passenger side CV axle and the car is fine.

Nah its a d15b but i never bothered making it "smog friendly"

Need stock airbox.
Install stock camshafts * i think i have to , i dont know*
Check timing.
Cap&rotor.
intake manifold, need z6 manifold.
5spd p28, had a chipped auto p28 with p08 maps etc.
Install a purge solenoid and ire it in,
Remove firewall map and install on throttlebody
Install ecu cover under dashboard.
Stock Valve cover but shave off vtec to throw off the smog dude.
Valve clearance.

Im Just gonna go and see if i can pass smog without ref, my engine bay looks really stock. But i need to figure out what to do with that stupid Sticker under the hood with the d15b2 picture on it.
