vent the motor, in a FI application, the pvc valve closes under boost, so to loose the blow by, people open up holes in thier valve cover and usually run them to catch cans.

if you look at where the big clear hose is coming from you can tell its a heater bypass.
which brings me to my next question
the coolant exits the head, goes into the car and re-enters into that housing that attaches to the back of the block at the water pipe.
has anyone ever plugged the hole in the head with a large allen plug and them somehow plugged the hole in that housing to eliminate all of that heater business? or does everyone just bypass it with a wrap around hose from point A to point C bypassing point B which would be the heater core

The end of the hose probably just happen to fall into the empty space making it appear as though its hooked up.
He'd be a fool to use that hose for transferring hot coolant. Im willing to bet its vent hose for those valve cover fittings.

Im hoping when i go to throw mine sir front on, the fact the usdm with the sir bumper has more room than the sir with the sir bumper. Hopefully I wont have to cut the lower grill.
