is the magnaflow replacement louder then the stock one??

I don't like how short muffler look, thats just me
I'm looking for something about the same size of Si muffler but a little louder w/ a deeper tone.

I've always been a big fan of the Invidia. Chronic Sinners has one on his turbo hatch and it looks ****

Magnaflows are "straight thru" designs, so they're going to be a bit louder.
My ES Oval was still pretty tame, though.

If you paint them black, you won't notice the length of the muffler so much.

New Porsches are fun too. I like doing 85mph in the rain, getting way shitty sideways. Over 200mph in the dry is cool too. My friend always freaks out when I take it over 100mph though so I haven't gotten much higher than that. Honestly it scares me to think of crashing it.

true that, but for an enthusiast at heart, older is where its at. I remember back in the day my dad had an old '66 912. Everything felt so 'direct' in that car, you felt connected from the steering to the throttle response. It seems the newer u get, the less u 'feel.' Plus, the newer ones look nothing like the older, much like bmws now .

vega: Long length mufflers you would probably like are the greddy sp and apexi ws. They have the length and arent loud at all.

Hey my beater is making a rattling noise from the head. I adjusted the valves and the valve train seems tight. Is this a sign that the Lost motions are bad?

From what ive seen/heard, bad LMAs make an inconsistent type-writer tapping noise.

I have a magnaflow muffler on my car and i think it sounds great. Nice and throaty when i get on it and nothing but a gentle purr when i am cruising in town.

hey guys, i had a question...

if i want to convert to a bigger oem front brake set up, what would be the best choice? this would be on an 89 crx si...

da front spindles and brakes OR is the 4 door civic ex (88-91) rotors and calipers the better choice?

i heard that the DA spindles change the camber/ geometry of the suspension.

thanks for any input.

ps i don't want to buy a camber kit if that makes any sense...

The best choice is 90-91 ex sedan, same as all other efs (for geometry) but is 10.3 (kinda rare to find)

The da is taller arm and i believe it fixes some camber by using them

THe Ef sir, are the same height as the usdm efs, but the tie rod hole is closer to the rack than the others, so u cant align it unless u shorted the inner tie rods by one inch

Ive seen people drive with bad lmas for years! LOL.

I havent seen any ill effects from bad lma's (while using stock cams).

i also saw in a thread a couple days ago of a guy putting s2000 front calipers on his DA with little or no mods (other then the 4x100 pattern). i saw the 10.3 brakes for sale somewhere a couple days ago.

Stock Crx Si 1991 brakes set-up: with Neuspeed Race, Koni Yellow.

Camber was modified but it was at around 2 degrees.

DA brake kit (knuckel and caliper): with Neuspeed Race, Koni Yellow

Caster no big difference (0.5 degree difference)
Camber: I used Ingalls camber kit to set at 2 degrees.
Toe: my set-up

It's been two years that I have the DA brakes and frequently use my Crx on the track. Way better braking and it never faded like my stock Si brakes.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yea yea yea, Im going to get bashed,:

I know the eBay exhaust's hang low, but how do they sound? Deep? Raspy? Stock-like?

How about a magnaflow muffler welded onto custom piping?

I currently have a "Autozone" "Stock-like" exhaust just for emissions purpose, now Im looking to buy a new exhaust. I know how the RS*R and Greddy sound, but Im not looking to spend 500$ on an exhuast. Thanks

my neighbor has a magnaflow exhaust...i forgot what tip he has but his **** sounds ****** good as hell
I'll take a sound clip of it in the morning
d16a6, DC headers, Short Ram and I think he has a cam...
I want my car to sound like his but I hate the fact that his muffler is so freakin small in comparison to the Stock Si muffler.

my FGK sounds stock
