I'm gonna need to replace my sedan exhaust soon. It's so rusted out it sounds aftermarket. I don't know what options there are for the 4 dr, though. I might have to mod one for a CRX or hatch.

If you want the deep non-raspy aggressive tone, you're 110% going to have to shell out for resonators. Don't cheap out, just do it . Oh yeah, and run a cat. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I was cat-less on my crx with a resonator and a Touring cat back exhaust. It actually sounded nice and smooth.

My rsr sounds nice, and I don't have a cat on my hatch either.

What is a cat? I love k20ef8's exhaust. Maybe he can post a sound byte of it again. I never get tired of hearing it.

Really, any muffler will do with the best sounding I've personally heard in person being a 2.5" straight through magnaflow with I believe 2 resonators (forgot what length) in the system. </TD></TR></TABLE>

This is what I did with my crx. Mandrel bent, single in, dual out (for the stock look) magnaflow with one resonator. Cost me about $300. Piping and muffler is 2.25", although, the muffler looks like its 2.5", either way, it sounds good to me and looks stock.
