From what I feel from going over there and talking to them, its not going to be as simple as the other kits and as far as making it, its not going to be 100%. I maybe wrong though, but in the meantime, I already have my H motor getting built so I can drop it in my CRX. I have another stock h22 for use as a mock up that we'll make race mounts for the EF setup. I dont want to wait for a mount setup when we can fabricate it sometime this winter.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah, from what I've heard the Evolution H2b kit for the EF hasn't even been prototyped yet. Is exospeed coming out with an H2b mount kit anytime soon?

used h and b series parts are way cheaper than buying new k series parts though. trust me. plus, the trans and engines arent very expensive at all in comparison.

What could change your mind? H22s belong in big bulky *** cars. I personally dont think i will Ever own a accord or a prelude. EVER.

LS/V's can be BAR'd.. sorta..

BAR it as an LS, and then swap heads and shave "VTEC" off the valve cover.
Works for smogging it.. I dunno if a cop would recognize it or not. I never had a cop pop my hood in the 2.5 years of driving a swapped EF in San Diego.

Drop the balancer shafts out of the h22, go B-series tranny, and you're in B-series weight territory .

Well I talked to the guys over there and with the way the EF is, its not going to clear the hood at all, which I assumed already anyways.
With this in mind, its not a 100% thing that they will get it done soon. I personally dont want to wait, so we're just going to do our own mount setup for the winter. I dont know if it'll be a mass produced product, but we'll see when the time comes.

We have so many shop projects that its hard to do them all right now.

lets race to see who can get up and running first.

if i wanted an all out drag car, i would build a boosted motor too. probably be cheaper than what i have spent on the K. i just want the K, dont hate.

Yeah, I figured just as much. Every h2b setup for the 88-91's I've seen required some massive fab work (not too bad, but enough to be a turnoff to someone who doesn't have much free time anymore). Keep us EF people updated on the mount kits!

Lol, I'm surprised that test only stations don't check for the matching block/head codes...the station I always go to does . Not to mention the external oil line . Need to find a shadier station haha.

Btw, drive your swapped ef up to NorCal...I can almost guarantee your hood will be popped. My friend's father just retired from law enforcement and had to take a class on "identifying illegally modified vehicles." Needless to say, with him being a car guy (owns/runs his own shop up in the Bay), hilarity ensued .

H22 Long block $1000, B-series trans $400, H2B adapter kit $1000, Hondata P28 setup $700. mounts another $350 if going in an EG or EK(Evolution mount kit),
$3000-4000 gets you a nice setup. with a good ECU setup.

Its not bad of a swapover. its no K-series in stock mode, but theres potential for good power.

suspension shouldnt mean the engine wont fire.

Yeah, my roommate has the setup I described above, and he hasnt been hassled once. I honestly don't think the station we go to even cares about BAR labels. They wouldnt even know where to look for an external oil line. lol

ohhh, I thought you meant "up and running" = driving.

I can probably fire the motor up in a couple months... Cashflow is gonna take a little while to become steady. Just graduated college, just got a full time job, starting to pay all my own bills, etc. The CRX has taken the back burner for a while. Hopefully it can get moved up soon.

Once it's up and running well, we should have a fun run. I don't really care about proving myself and throwing money down on it. I just think it would be a good comparison and make for a good video, even if I end up losing.

You need to ride in my car, spools at 3500, 10 psi by vtec , 15psi by 6500.
