He had some projectors and replaced the outside lens with JDM ones.

Yeah, I've seen pictures of del-sol fluted lenses + a BMW retrofit and the fluting tends to kill the cut-off resulting in crazy glare. If you'd like though, I could take snaps of the cutoff with the fluting before I sand some of it down. Planning to do the retrofit first before I start working on the lenses.

Do you know for sure if the EF9 lenses fit onto the USDM buckets? If they do, that would be a great option as TSX projectors aren't bi-xenons and I'd like to retain my highbeams . Probably around the same amount of work though. Measuring/dremeling/sanding the fluting down.

If it does fit though, someone sell me their e-bay projectors for hella cheap .

For sure man, thanks a lot . I just don't want to buy someone's busted up projectors and find out they sit 2" lower with the SiR front haha (or too far back with the EF9 lenses) .

Btw James, Lol at your sig. Try http://www.1guymudpie.com .

you would know better than i (owning both EF9 & ED6), but i beleive they are not the same lenses, the shapes are different.

I too have been doing some research on retrofitting, since i am usdm front i was gonna go with the ebay projectors But i dont see any reason why you couldnt sand down the fluting on the lenses to allow for a sharp cutoff

yeah the lenses are different. but he was wondering if the jdm bucket housing was the same as the usdm. so he could switch the plastic jdm lens on to a usdm bucket. so he can retain the high beam. i just compared and the bucket housings are noticeably different.. but im not sure if the seating area for the lense is the same size as the usdm bucket.. someone must have some solid evidence out there

I get my license back in 36 days sell the rex, and I will be driving to cali in the beater to kill you. That is all. I got driving priveledges to work the other day. It feels good to be in an EF again. It is like low 20s outside so I had to get off the bike, and do something. I just got a call from my old boss, he wants to hire me back at the old audio shop. That means dealer accounts on go fast parts. I can't wait to be able to drive to my shop, and work on the crx again.
