So do you swap all that back in? Does having a wiretuck sometimes give issues with stuff deleted ? it almost seems like it would be best to have a spare gsr (Stock to the bone) and swap it in and do it that way, then swap it back out.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Some people do, but for those that get illegal smog checks, it doesnt matter what the car has or doesnt have b/c they dont even use your car for the test.

Ive bar'd 2 wire tucked cars and the inspector didnt seem to mind. You have to be smart about it. Dont 'delete' the important stuff, lol.

The issue about swapping in a different block can be iffy. I know on both of my bar labels they had the actual block number on it (the numbers below the engine code). If a cop were to pop your hood during a traffic stop and if you had your modded engine installed, the numbers wont match and you would get a ref ticket. Keep in mind not all bar labels read the same, ive seen plenty that just have "1.8L acura" for an LS swap or a GSR swap. Those are the lucky ones since they can most likely get away with bar'ing an LS and then swapping in a type r.

Everyone is out of stock, you'll have to piece it together. You should start with the hood. *coughlinkinsigcough*

no/yes

if you are a perfectionist then yes
if you don't mind a small gap placement gap only visible from the top then no

i go by katman's pinout listing. if you want me to do it for you, and i know i have offered it in the past, i am very reasonable and will guarantee my turnaround time so you are not without a functioning car for any longer than the shipping time. i can build your harness the day i recieve your dash harness and the cluster plugs in the mail and return it.

Same with my old BAR'd crx. 1.8L Acura I had a stock heatshield over a JDM Greddy header too Not for the BAR, but for subsequent smog checks.

im getting closer. fabbing a few parts here and there and checking for clearances. but the motor is in, so it makes things easier. i still need to pull the motor back out to do my brakeline tuck and finish my fuel system. plus, i want to send it into the paint shop to get the bar prepped and painted.

I sold my automatic DA last night. The guy that bought it was looking at it, and goes "i wonder if this is the b16 or b18?". I told him the answer. When he came back with his wife, they were looking at it again, and he goes "it's already got the b18". lol.

I'm thinking about putting a block on a stand in my house garage so I can build it at night and **** instead of being paranoid in my big garage at night and I'm undecided if I want to build a LS/VTEC or a single cam set-up for my EF. What should I do? N/A LS VTEC and make more power or a SOHC-T and be able to get cheap parts. What yall think?

3300. yes, it was a complete DA swap.

Stock GSR motor. Why screw around with ls/vtec and if you can afford that, why go with sohc? Turbos just offer more parts to break or leak.

It's cool, I got a B20 thats going in... I'm not modifying it though. I was to build a motor.

All motor LS/VTEC would be alot more money and parts than a SOHC-T... plus single slammers are cheaper. If I break something, so be it... I'm not stressing it... It's just a fun CHEAP BUDGET build.. mostly used parts.
I was thinking a high compression mini-me turbo set-up... Just to see how long it will last before it wants to crap out... Just for fun. HAHAHA.

Here is what I'm working with.
