nice wheels volks or konigs? I have been looking for the konigs for a while without luck....
Vega, the car is looking good
(Even though i think yellow or yellow accents should be reserved for porsches and exotics)
No ef pics from this weekend for me, i was combatting an illness and doing a good bit of landscaping

BTW, Happy Father's Day to those that have offspring.

x2 for fathersday
As for landscaping, it is tedious, strenous, and time consuming; but there is definitly an art for having a vision. Plus it has a low rate of failure (unlike car projects) and can be rewarding
Thrashin, Im glad to see that sedan is still around, i remeber it from honda-tech ages ago
Post the pics in this thread, im sure no one would mind

Should my front end have come with the JDM support then? It didn't.

it SHOULD have yeah
..unless you got it from password they never send complete front ends
If you are going to try to modify the USDM on it would require quit a bit of cutting.
To anyone missing one. I would contact N1concepts up in Nor Cal and ask them about it. They have a gang load of EF9 bumper laying around in all different kinds of condition. It never hurts to have a extra front bumper laying around espeically if it comes with the bumper support

Yeah, that's where my front end came from, but I got no support.
I'd planned on hole sawing it either way to shed a few pounds, so I don't mind cutting it up, as long as the bumper will bolt up to the top of it and sit correctly.
I'm so ready for this car to be painted, it's depressing seeing it multi-colored and tore down for so long.

I just got back from roadracing at buttonwillow all weekend... It was great fun guys, I was with 5 EF's and we tore up everything! Nearly every driver at some point during the weekend came over to our garage and asked what the hell was done to our cars... Basically everyone thought we had turbo's Hehehehe.
There was exotics, muscle cars, the works... All around a great day.... other than when I had to tow my car home because my engine timing skipped a tooth
but ya, it was a true EF invasion...

Awesome. What kind of whp are you making? Eventually I want to road race and be somewhat fast. I just realized you are in San Jose. My wife and I are flying into San Jose friday for our honeymoon. We will be in Montery and Pismo Beach the last week of June
I already told her if I find a rust free car she may be flying back alone!

Ill get some pix up soon
The price was 265 for the weekend, plus 150 for the garage(it was 101 deg there!), and hotel so it can add up. I believe I skipped a tooth on my timing due to tensioner failure, so ill be pulling the eng out at some point to scope it out
edit: whp is around 240 ish, and I need some more tuning still
And to the person that asked about how they get into it, find a track and find what groups race there, or find the group 1st. I went with the pantera club on this one, and before it was NASA, there is also redline locally. Hybrids.jp has alot of info, and the 3 ef hatches were all hybrid members.

have you ever driven on a really curvy road gunning your car.
Think of it like that it in a safer area and is setup for it and you don't have to worry about on going traffic or animals jumping out at you.
Its better then a quarter mile IMHO
Its supposed to be going on on the 26th of Aug.

Cool, so ill check it out. Are the rules really strict? (nrg Battery in trunk, no cat, making 400+whp)
So you need some cash to go out, ic.

The best route into racing is to start with local autox. It's a safe way to learn control of your car. That's how I plan to start.
Oh, and 240whp n/a must be a blast to drive!

I think i want to do the roadracing, the autox seems fun but i rather try a road coarse than not hitting cones
