you can get a new license when you come to CA. you wont need your current one.
go to a doctor out here and get a prescription.

If it is legal I will do it. I need to call a BMV in California.

I agree with Chemist, smoke a bowl or two and chill out. It's definitely not the end of the world. You can always appeal the license thing, I don't understand how they could take your license for a possession charge, while standing in your garage. Talk to an attorney and find out what the laws are.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah I am gonna get stoned tonight when I get off work. I got a 40 minute commute on the Schwinn roady tomorrow. Glad I am done working after this week. It was a state law any drug offender mandatory license suspension for 6 mo-5years. I got it knocked down to a local charge, but they still took my license. Judge was a *****. The DA was even on my side. WTF!

Tell me about it. I've had my hatch for over a year now and it'll take me atleast another year to get it running.
It's funny how your plans/visions change for your car. When I bought this one, I was going to swap the K20, strip the interior, and drive it, but once I tore into it, I decided I might as well go all out and do/get everything I want.

the sandbox has its ups and downs
downside: I just turned 25 and I'm only a sophomore
upside: The GI bill pays me enough that i dont have to work for the 4 years i'm in college

I got to work Friday, and Saturday otherwise I would. The real question is who wants to drive the KRX durring the Ohio Meet? I don't think I am gonna take it to Niagara, although I will probably still go. Now that I can't drive to the shop it was going to I am gonna DIY with a friend of mine. Take our time, and make it perect.

There you go. If you approach the situation with the right attitude, you can make lemonade from lemons. You were planning on painting it soon anyway, right?
Atleast you don't have to buy any more $3-4 per gallon gas, right? Glass half full.

Yeah I wish I could but I have to decline. I need money more than ever now. I drove to work today as well. Kinda freaked out about getting home. Once I do the car is parked. I had to take my Austrian driver's licence with me today.

Yeah I was gonna paint it, but I was gonna have a friend do it. Now I am gonna do it myself. I get about 40miles per 64oz of Gatorade. Mixxing Cool Blue with Fruit Punch is the bomb digity.

Bart, I'm pretty sure you have to have a physical address in cali for that to work...
The college thing is true in most cases. But a lot of times you will get a degree and not make over 35K/year. In SC at least. 30K is prolly the average salary around here.I work at BMw manufacturing and once I get to top pay in about 2 years I'll be making a base of 60K/year and will always be more than that because we overtime so much. I'm still in college, trying to get my accounting degree, and at this point I don't know if its worth it. I am still going to persue it though. Just to have something to fall back on if I need it. My stepmother is an accountant with several degrees in it and only making 30K. I am only going to have my associates. degrees are bs. all it is, is an expensive qualification sheet.
oh yea, and I don't have time to touch my car anymore either. I have piles of parts and **** sitting around too. Working 13 hours a day blows ***.

I called the BMV in california today. They told me it is on hold and I cannot get a license there untill I am cool in Ohio.
What I really wanted to do was be a doctor, but there is too much involved in becoming one or anything in the medical field, so I said screw it. I don't have the patience for it. I don't mind building BMW's. I'm really only at work for 11 hours, but its about an hour each way to get there. Other than the medical field, I have no idea what I'd want to do for the rest of my life. I love working on cars, but I'd kill myself if I had to do it every day (mechanic). I like to weld, but it would get old after doing it every day. I wouldnt mind trying my hand at it under water.
$47k per year here. No college, 3 years real world experience instead. There was a pretty good thread in GDD about college vs. real world experience a while back.
My wife works at Dillard's with 3-4 graduates from OU. They all still work at Dillard's because they can't find those $50-60k per year jobs they were expecting.
I looked up some info a while back about that. The average high school grad makes about $32k per year, $38k for someone with an associates, and $42k for someone with a bachelors.
