so i worked on a friends da yesterday. he just got it about 2 weeks ago and like 3-4 days after he go it, the clutch let go while driving it. figured it was the pressure plate but when we pulled the tranny yesterday, found this...

no idea what kind of clutch it was, but it was DESTROYED!! no wonder it wouldn't shift into gear when the car was running

Yea, luckily there are about 3 Integras there, one is a few days old and I even found a red light ticket in the car from a few months back. Looks like it just got impounded or donated. Car is in great condition. I pulled a bunch of stuff off there.
Although I didn't get to test it because I was in a rush and like an idiot hooked it all up and decided to put the switch in last. I tapped the back against some metal and arched it and blew the Ign fuse. I didn't have any 50 amp fuses laying around so I have to grab one today to test it.
But I think I will take some time to redo some wiring under my dash. It is a mess because the aftermarket alarm I had put in years ago and such.

Grrrrrr!

it sucks because I spent all weekend working on the car, small change here, small change there, etc.
Sunday I finally get on the verge of getting everything straight and we had plans so I was SOL lol.

There are some mint seats in this one that I want. Grey with the red insert. Not sure how they will go with my palmy blue interior but oh well.

lol. so its the same one they used in the b17 gsr. i wonder why they call it two different things then.

so i kept getting all my info here: http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/temp/Bgears.htm

but figured it was a mis print since they labeled the JDM integra body running in '93 as well. I thought they stopped building the DA chassis in '92 over there.

The codes they used for honda transmissions are pretty retarded. If I remember correctly there's 4+ different codes on b16 cable transmissions

LoL Yup!
So I'm having a weird issue with the car now all of a sudden:
Ignition gets KO power. But fuel pump won't prime and ECU doesn't get power. Replaced main relay and ignition switch to no luck. No blown fuses either.
Started the car and it was idling then stalled and now the above issue....

Car will still crank however since the pump doesn't prime there is no fuel pressure and no fire...

Anyone encounter this?

got a question guys im ordering function and form type 1's sometime this week and was told they dont go too low for the DA but if i were to get EG coilovers and get EG front forks it would be lower? i wanna know if that is true and wouldnt the shocks blow faster because not only am i gonna be slammed but the DA chassis weighs more than the EG.
so lmk whats up guys thanks in advance.

be carefull on that because im running ek koni yellows and they are too tall. the front i cant slam without having no bump stops and i would bottom out if i didnt have them. also the rear will dump but i would have only 2 inches of travel. i also had to trim my brand new bushings in the rear to have them work. but when i have it at a good drivable height then they are perfect.

also with konis it doesnt matter how low they are it does not effect the shocks when they are dumped. you can dump with koni yellows and gc setup. just get race valves in the shocks for a stiffer spring rate. with street valves i think you can only go to 600lbs springs. im running street valves with 500 front and 400 rear and its a good dd setup. but if you want to track your car and its not a dd then i woulld go 900fr and 800rear or if its goin g to be a track car i would say 1100 fr and 1000rear.

if you want to slam your car dont bother with function form type I, just get a gc/koni set up and if you cant afford it then keep saving. Where were you last week when i was selling KW coilovers?! Ended up getting rid of them for $350

my cars far too slow to even park at the track lol. its a dd that i use for work/school. im not the lowest da out there but i like to be slammed. im really worried i wont be happy with my type 1's i hope thats not the case i just wish i could find a picture of a da on type 1's thats maxxed out from just the lower mount without touching the preload. damnnnnit

Why do you want to be "slammed"?

Wow guys I haven't stopped by here in FOREVER!!!

I know I bet some probably thought I died or probably dont even remember me. Life has been busy since I lost my great friend chris vang (90_DA) this summer in a drowning/fishing accident. Some of you may recall hearing about it as he was a great DA enthusiast. Since then I have promised me (and him) that I would get my DA done. I've been busy working hard on it when ever I can. I'll update with pics and stuff in the next couple days as I need to take some lol.

Great to see this thread still moving along nicely

Well it seems it would make more sense for people who actually drive their car everyday to be at a more reasonable ride height? Wouldn't it?

My DA next to my CL:

Front lip height:

Side view or ride height with slightly larger tire:

check for broken wires would be best bet or run power source to the ecu and fuel pump and see if you can idle your car that way.

but if that works i would in no means start driving it like that

^ looks like it is the ECU at this point. Waiting to get another known working unit to test.

Fuel pump is fine, if I jump the relay the pump primes.
Thanks for the reply.

i used to daily drive my car and take it every where while being pretty low, just be prepared when you need to swap out an oil pan and get a new cat put on the car from scraping too much
