Actually, I have a question. Do you have to make any changes to prevent degradation/rusting in the lines, tank, pump etc?

I know that some aftermarket pumps, filters and injectors are not for e85. OEM I have no idea

I've been running e85 in both of my DA's for years now. There are no ill effects on any of the fuel system that i've come across HOWEVER i do run aftermarket fuel pump and stainless element filter. Me and my boy built another EK coupe that used a stock fuel filter on e85 with no issues.

Ok, let me hop in on this lol. Like the guy stated above me, there aren't any issues with rusting fuel lines or fuel tank. I personally have only been on e85 for a few weeks now, but I have a friend who did it on his rhd del sol sir for over 2 years without issues. As for converting, it was extremely simple and easy. I'm using dsm 450cc injectors with 10w 10ohm inline resistors, and my 20 year old stock fuel pump. I tuned it myself on crome free and i'm running roughly 50% more fuel than what the stock p30 tune had. I advanced my timing 2 degrees on the low cam and 6 on the high cam, and my car is pulling much better than it used to on 93 gas. A lot of people say you HAVE to have a bigger fuel pump, but unless you're boosted or really built it's not needed. I'm on a b16a stock internals, just full bolt ons. If I were to want to run regular gas again I would have to retune for it. Moates.net sells what's called a 2 timer, which is a thing that stacks 2 chips in your ecu and you can switch between the tunes with a switch. I'm in the process of buying a 50 shot wet kit so i'm gonna need that 2 timer. Idk if my pump will be enough for the spray as well, but i'l find out. I don't have any fancy tuning stuff either. Like I said I used crome free, I've got the Burn2 that Moates sells, and my a/f gauge, that's it. Tuning wasn't too hard just kinda touchy, but I think that was cromes fault

It sucks for those of us who live in areas with bad winters, E85 sucks in winter time!

It's a simple thing to do (as long as you or someone tunes it correctly), but it's not something I'd recommend on a daily, unless you don't mind going to the gas station more often then normal.

Has anyone had an issue with their turn signal lights on 1 piece headlights? When i signal left the right also flashes, but not at the same time.

Im thinking it could be the DRL relay. Can anyone else input on this.

Thanks in advance

Looks boss. I've never seen the fuel pressure regulator hooked up in that manner. Can you take some close up pics?

Are you going to remove that engine, clean it and reinstall? Seems pointless to paint the bay and then leave the engine with 20yrs of dirt and oxidation on it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the painted look either. It looks good in pics most of the time, but in person it looks like crap IMO. Simple green + wire brush + steel wool + elbow grease is the best combo I've found. And if you still have some blemishes they can be touched up by applying silver/chrome paint sparingly with a paper towel (works better than it sounds like it would).

I use to have that issue too. I just wired the turn lights aka city lights into parkngs lights and just used my lower bumper lights as turn signals. that solved my issues.

You can wire the bumper lights to the turn signal in the one-piece via jumper wires. Nobody will see it since it's hidden inside the bumper and behind the headlights. Both will blink when you hit the turn signal stalk.

I'm quite sure there's plenty of other ways to do it.

so my fuel pump finally took a **** on me. the car will start but when you touch the throttle it stalls out. pump is making a really ****ed up noise when you prime it. i think because i went up a pretty steep hill that i had to shift down to third is what finally toasted it. pump should be here today and luckily my tank is pretty low so im going to do it on the side of the road. its in a spot that is not driven on too often so it shouldnt be too bad.
