I know how you feel with the dump tube, it's a pain. Whats the positioning of your WG look like and where does it sit?
I have a ram horn so mine sits straight out under the support, next to the radiator.
So basically I have to make a very tight turn off the WG, go over the DP and down, this was my old dump tube:

However I used crappy material and it broke off. I just ordered a vibrant 90 degree bend and stainless flange to have another one made.

Congrats Andy!
Any big plans?
It will get dyno-tuned later this summer but initially it will be street tune only. Tuner is $75/hour including cost of dyno so I'm willing to wait a bit to get it. Go back a page or two and you can see my bay. Wastegate sticks out to the pass. side and aims directly at the rad support. Such a pain in the dick. I might go up and over turbo to driver side and run it down over there but I'm not sure how this will affect the exhaust flow into and out of the wastegate. UGH. I can't see hosted pics from my work pc but I will definitely check yours out tonight.
I would advise against it, you've been putting in work on this motor and street tunes aren't exactly the greatest.
Think about it, tuner makes a base map, goes out and beats up the car while doing datalogs, he's gotta pull over somewhere make adjustments and repeat the process. This isn't safe for him or your car and it would take forever for an accurate tune. That's why most street tunes are thrown together.
Good luck though!
and for your WG, they make adapter plates that you can clock the WG, I've seen them before and look like a big cross or just cut the flange and reweld it so you can fit a dump tube in there.
They also make elbows but I figured that won't work as you can't get a dump tube in there.
Why not just rotate it so it faces the other way, should be room there, right?

and man I never thought of how much of a pain the flange on the 38 could be, I'm sooo glad the 44mm is Vband!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!
If you look right to the left of my drivers side headlight you will see my black 44 WG. There really weren't many options for me either as it sits right near the radiator and on the other side is my IC piping.
I wouldn't even think or rotating it up as that would most likely lead to creeping.

Just started working on the new project. Going to take alot of effort and time, but I refuse to let my DA go the the junkyard!!! Just picked up some quarters from a donor car. And working on an all motor GSR swap. Got alot of work ahead of me. Will be worth it in the end. The engine bay is pretty much stripped down almost ready for paint.
Congrats man!
Any big plans?
So then you are going to drive around and beat it up?

As for the street tune, I'm driving while my tuner tweaks the base tune. He's just getting me rolling on this tune so I can drive it down to Cinci where the dyno he's a part owner of is. I'm not going to be ripping on it and tearing my hard work up FOR SURE. I mean, at some point I'm going to want to give it a little WOT but for the most part, I'm going to treat her right. I have a Moates Demon + Neptune RPT so you can actually just make changes on the fly and it immediately updates the maps. I just want to be rolling before a big meet on May 14 that I sort of want to unveil the car to my friends at.
Wiseco 14.2:1 Compression pistons, Manley H-Beam rods, Type R Oil Pump, Gates Timing Belt, and Golden Eagle Headgasket.
As for the dump tube, I can fit something in there no problem, I just don't know where I want to dump it to.

Yea you can make changes on the fly with most tuning software however you need at least 2 capable people to do so. Otherwise you will have to pull over and review logs and make changes every pull. Which sucks.
If not then there is no need for all that compression because you will have to detune it to make it practical and run properly on 93 octane.
Oh, just go straight down. When the car is moving it will just blow under the car.

Holy compression, guess you plan to make this a drag car and only run on Race gas, ie. 110 or so?

It shouldn't blow back up because the air running under the car will push it on its way.
I wouldn't extend it up and under because what it you hit something, that will be a lot of stress on the pipe and manifold.
Car goes back on the dyno tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!
Lost of small changes since the last time:
does anybody have an obd1 b16 ecu they want to sell? i want to put my b16 in the car soon and thats the remaining piece to the puzzle. i just picked up an obd1 intake mani for $40 from my buddy today. and also, the motor is out of a 00'si and i have the original harness already connected to it. do you think it would be easier to run with that harness and get an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness or just use the da harness and wire in the vtec and knock sensor wiring? i like everythink to look bone stock and i dont really want to touch this obd2 harness to steal plugs from it.
Whats up DA squad. Its been awhile since i been in the da world but i just picked up a 92 gs teg. Ready to start wire tuck, 5 lug conversion, and k swap, im excited.... imma do a write up thread soon as i start the project. Oh the dude with the blue DA on the dyno that thing looks sweet.
Just wanted to show the DA owners love
