DA Integra's Only
and as also mentioned, I've had problems with components inside my distributor and with my turbo manifold.
Again, the distributor is one of those maintenance parts, things fail in distributors. And again, an OEM piece.
The manifold broke, it sucks and ever the nest of manifolds crack and have issues. That's the only thing I could see as being an issue due to the part selection but as I mentioned it happens. I mean I could brace the crap out of it if I really cared that much and that MAY help.

hey guys. i just picked up an obd1 jdm b16 intake mani from my buddy and wanted to get it mounted up to my b16 and when i took the obd2 intake mani off the motor i went to swap the iacv over and the holes dont line up. i then check the obd2 iacv with my ls one and they are the same. i then went onto an acura parts catalog to compare the iacv from a b17 with the ls and they look the same. im baffled as to what iacv i need to use to run this manifold. the obd2 one doesnt have an intake air temp sensor port on it and i dont want to have to drill and tap on in if i dont have to. oh and i did search for the answer and didnt find it obviously.
Sorry dude, I just thought I noticed a bunch of big problems with the car lately. I'm sure its built right. But, on.another note, I would consider oil pump failure critical. That's pretty serious and even over 6 years I wouldn't expect it to break.
Agreed, not really sure why you got to ride EVERYONE.
Matt your pump failing is not a result of how it was built. I'm sure you have everything balanced and you never ran low on oil. Unfortunately you really have zero control over a failure like this as the obvious precautions had already been taken. Aside from maybe an oil cooler (no idea if you have one) it really is a wear item. It's not a stock motor and something like this can easily be seen as a replacement item.
Correct precautions IMO would be:
-Fully balance motor (including flywheel, dampener, pressure plate, and rotating assembly)
-Oil cooler (to keep oil temps down and from oil breaking down as easily)
-Good oil filter (to many anti drain back valves don't work and cause dry start ups)
-Correct oil level and type (talking weight and correct level. Synthetic and non or not huge factors when the oil is changed often)
-Correct bearing clearance
I'd love to see how you could have done more to prevent this from happening as I doubt yours was slapped together. I'm sure you have atleast 4 out of 5 I listed.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants that sound where its deep and not raspy what so ever which is also what i'm looking for. What opinions do you guys have on any of them? I was thinking, greddy ti-c, rs-r exmag, obx-r..from youtube videos they sound good..but has anyone heard these in person or any other systems that sound good with out getting pulled over lol
Hey guys enter you pics to PW JDM contest on facebook.

Ehh actually for the use it's seen I don't see how it lasted this long.

And everything on your list except the cooler, so 4 out of 5.
Motors been running fine for 3 years on this current build. Built it before I got the turbo setup on it.
Dave has one, sounds good to me. He may have vids.
yea I have a little vid, but I really want to get a video with someone in another car and me going through gears, hee is my only vid.....

Hey guys and ladies. I hardly post on H-T, didn't even know this little thread even existed. So I thought I'd share some pics with you of my lil daily. She's very rough and needs a lot of work, so don't hate. Just know that in a few mo's time many things will be changing on her.
Gonna start from the beginning with the pics and then progress to today. Changes though are very subtle...mainly with wheels.
enjoy
