DA Integra's Only
I like the 90-91 bumper for the look and also for the fact not many people have it in my area. Everyone here in Ontario has a 92-93 bumper with type r lip kit for it. I do have a change coming in the future though. Who knows it may be 92-93 bumper with type r lip, or possibly jdp.
Suspension setup also plays a large roll in getting down the 1/4 faster aswell. Not just for going around corners.
Camber is not needed to be zero'd out. I would also suggest if your going to be running big power and launching hard, that you get your ride height adjusted to include correct axle angle aswell. No point in hitting up the track slammed and busting axles at the line. The lower you go the easier it is when your launching and making decent power.
Yes preloading helps but even with a traction bar, wheel hop is a bitch.
Trust me been there done that. You'll need to set it up differently for track and show. Never seen both done at the sametime with good result in the 1/4
But hey wtf do I know...
I use to be just like you. Defensive and all. I learned the hard way because of it. I started listening in my early 20's and it's been the best thing I have ever done.

i get defensive, because although the occasionally advice or positive re enforcement, u guys mostly think me and my brother are total idiots. To be honest we have probably done more difficult engine swaps, and body work for our age than most people who are 10+ yrs our age. While i am not saying we are professionals, i would just appreciate to be given more respect.
Respect is earned aswell my friend (thats not a jab at you). I try and remember when I was younger how much more I should have listened. Being humble sometimes and open to opinions is not always a bad thing.
Not all on here are professionals, but alot here know what they are talking about. Just like they don't know what your all capable of, you don't know what they know and are capable of. Right?
I wouldn't purchase a home alignment tool or plates. Honestly not worth it and you really can't get the best results possible. You still got to be able to get at everything to adjust it and an alignment rack is far better for this. IMO just get an alignment from a good shop. I'm lucky in that I work at a dealer as a mechanic and have full access to one.
Even when set to factory specs you'll find the alignment needs to be modified to your car. Torque steer is also a factor to be considered. I've been in cars where you got to turn to the left as you punch the gas to counter it and keep it out of the ditch. Just something to think about.
Also corner balancing my civic was the best thing I have ever done. I'll be doing this to my integra before it hits the road again.

Just finished polishing my headlights... looks so much better. I have a few days left in Pa so i might try to pull the motor so i can finish the tuck harness and put the motor back together.
It's only $20 for the seals that are needed to fix the water leak... no need to rig something up, if you're going to take the time to take everything apart might as well fix it with the right parts.
so instead of making plates and stuff to seal it, why not just do it right and go buy the 8 seals from the dealership n some new foam tape on the plastic cover? i've had absolutely no leaks ever since i replaced mine and recommend everyone else do the same who hasnt already. there's even a diy write up on here somewhere on how to do it
edit-herb beat me to it lol

When I find out exactly what these seals are/where they go, I reckon I'll get some too. My car isn't leaking but the seals are 21 years old this year, so it can't hurt to renew them.
Think I'd better look for that DIY.

go ahead and make fun of the license plate cuz I probably would too, but I employed my ingenuity and resources for a part that nobody will ever see instead of paying for it. you will never see it under the cowl AND the secondary cover. I tried a few DIY writeups from g2ic and elsewhere to reseal it but those didnt work so I came up with my own. And isnt that how new parts are conceived?.....someone who thinks they can make a part better and/or cheaper?
and by the way I did buy new boots/seals and sealer but the problem persisted

when i got my da, the previous owner (my hack buddy who works for a saab dealership) took a saab dealer advertisment plate and duct taped it to the opening. he said it was leaking even tho he never drove it and it sat in his dealership parking garage for 2 years before i got it so i dont know how he knew it leaked. gotta love the things some people will do to fix things.
yo herb! did you ever come home to work on your car. and if so where was the call? ive been driving my da around cause its been really nice out lately. i finally got the exhaust all fabbed up and the car has been running like a f**king top. i replaced every piece of rubber undernieth and even bought a 12 ton press to replace the bushings. so if you need them done let me know. hit me up next time your home so we can get together and i will elp you on your wiring. i got a whole bunch of harnesses extra if your interested.
im working tomorrow morning and gotta take my wifes parrot to the vet but im good after that and im free tuesday night. you should come down cause im kinda hessetant to drive the da long distances cause im completely broke and if it breaks down im ****ed. i havent really been on ht lately. kinda in a rut cause of work and all. ill hit you up tomorrow afternoon. my job is near conshy
