i am only gonna buy crower cams, personal preference... i really dont like skunks items. nothing against the company. i just see crower putting down alot more power in alot more cars.

 

^^what's the motor again? skunk cams make amazing power on some motors...like b20vtecs.

It's funny how people just come up with these "personal preferences" without any type of backing.

Crower cams may make power in LS's but they are the only big cam out for that motor.............

I've went through a lot of cams, Crower being one I'd never buy again. These cams made my rockers look like soup bowls!

 

well i will say that my machinest/auto teacher who builds race engines for a living for the past 35 years lol, told me stay away from crower. he said back in the day crower was a great company but recently everything he has gotten from them has been junk and broke and again this is coming from a man who builds engines for 3 teams in the koni challenge grand am series, also who worked for ford racing for 15 years, also worked for panoz racing, etc etc im not gooina keep going on with what he does or has done but he told me never buy crower parts. and i rarely see crower cams making more power then skunk2 cams in a vtec motor

 

Because they don't make more power in Vtec motors!
Like I said my Crower stage 3's were horrible! HORRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE!

 

maybe ill just have my friends take my car down to DNR while im at work and get it tuned, its going to have stock intake, header and all that. Only thing it has right now is 2.25" exhaust

i love my crower stage 1's. never had a single problem with them in the 2 years i've had them now. but, they are in an ls, not a vtec motor. but my rockers look perfectly fine

I don't really like anything Skunk2 makes either, it's all stuff w/ their name all over it. However after talking to my tuner I would use their cams (vtec) in a heartbeat. According to him they're pretty much the best out there at the moment. He's seen the R&D, they are constantly testing and changing the profiles unlike many other manufacturers. Considering he tunes hundreds, maybe thousands of vtec hondas a a year I'm inclined to believe him.

 

i use to have a DA and i really miss it now that its gone. if anyone has or know someone who has a super clean 92-93 DA and wants to trade, hollar please.

got a 1992 integra ls parts car im done taking all i need(motor, seat, other misc. minor parts) Theres plenty of pieces available still though Im going to take pictures tomorrow, but in the meantime, if anyone needs anything for their DA, message back I'm in the Philly area. Ok, heres mine. 1990 GS with all options available except leather. I can't complain considering the price I got it for. 313,083 miles on it and she purrs like a kitten. Engine is totally sound. The interior is clean as hell. My uncle has a body shop and at the end of the summer all the body work will be done (it has the usual started cancer that needs some attn.) and resprayed ITR FBP. Thinkin' about ditchin the wing, but undecided on it.

Power wise, Im going simple. Complete GSR swap with an LSD trans, built head with Skunk2 valvetrain, valves, Black I/M, TB. Then the basics (I/H/E). Flashed P72 tuned with Neptune. Solid, reliable daily I can have fun with. Maybe boost later on, but who knows. Enjoy!
