....At least get a B18C oil pump and keep the revs below 7,200 if you want it to last you for a while.
my oil pump and water pump are already good to go. I might put in some arp rod bolts. Other than that from my personal experience, we've had bone stock b20vtec and lsvtec motors last for 4+ years that were abused and raced (at the track, maybe occasionally a few freeway runs). Im not the type of person who smashes around though, not worth the tickets

Why go B20VTEC if you're not trying to bash on it on a regular basis? Are you just doing it to say you have vtec?

You sound like an unsafe driver to think its ok to "bash on it" when driving on the streets

because we go to track, going to track is alot different than smashing on your car everywhere you drive. I dont street race. Eventually i will semi-build the motor internally but not at the current moment, daily driving a stock b20vtec around the streets without smashing on it and only getting on it once in a blue moon isnt a big deal.

And btw KNOwLedGe, 96+ GSR and LS oil pumps are the same

I never street race(d) either and don't drive crazy. I'm one the safest drivers you'll know, but I smash on my car on the REGULAR. Better believe with vtec I'm smashin at 8000rpm's at least a few times a day. I build cars to drive, not to look good parked.

Somewhat sounds like a contradiction saying that you're "one of the safest drivers you'll know" but smash to 8k on public streets every day. Then again, smashing to 8k with a b16 you're probably not really speeding anyways hahaha, just kidding. Either way, i usually only drive my car 2 times per day, at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Before and after work, which is traffic times, so theres not much room to be smashing. I save it for the track and occasionally on really dead roads

can't imagine its very safe to smash on your car in the canyons... it might be more unsafe then driving in a straight line.

But doing that is so much fun. kinda sucks in my car though.

yeah last motor i built was just vtec conversion kit and head studs, and that was it, using a obd0 ecu. Motor ran perfectly fine until the car was sold and probably still runs fine

i would like to ask how you found out what trans you had? by driving it and gauging the rpms? or taking it apart and counting the teeth?

because the s1 is a us and jdm case.

as for the injectors i would say you can run them just fine in you engine. no need to clean them, just make sure the filters on top are clean.
