LoL, everyone always wants to "hate" on something, who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whether it is Blox or Rota, it's always something, like we always say, to each their own!
I have Blox and Skunk 2 parts on my car now.............
Once somethings already been done, everyone after could be labeled a copy cat............

matt the point brice is trying to make is the fact that the original companies put tons or time, money, research, etc. into developing the parts to be the best that they can produce and then all the knock off companies come in and just straight up copy what they worked so hard for just to make a quick buck. eventually the knock off companies will put the original companies out of business, then who's going to come up with new parts?? i'm sure the knock off companies wont be making anything new. all they know/have means to do is copy, not r&d and everything else that goes with it. they are slowly ruining the industry for everyone.
now, with that said, i can not sit here and say i've never had any knock off parts before, but the point still remains of whats happening.
actually, i remember not so long ago aaron bonk did a great write up on this very topic in one of the issues of honda-tuning magazine

Matt and afro the reason that is so cheap is that is a GM product was on older chevy trucks..matt they are cheaper and do work(I had one) but when i was visiting jk he told me the issue with those is if they fail for some reason, they fail closed and nothing will open your wg and you will over boost. Now im sure you have a boost cut. but when the hondata has an issue it fails open allowing the wg spring to open and only boosting whatever your spring is...im tired hope that makes sense.
ROFL
Yea let me know also jj I will roll up there we can be like rob and big lol
Yes I understand that but as a consumer when I see a good deal, depending on the part I normally jump on it. That's just how things are.
I have standards it's just some of those parts work perfectly well and I would be a fool to pass it up.
But JJ that does not look anything like the GM boost solenoid, that looks exactly like the Hondata one.

Every single industry has copycat companies. Hyundai and Kia in the auto industry are a couple good examples. This sort of thing is what perpetuates new development. Skunk2 comes out with something. People buy it up. A year later Blox copies it. Skunk2 is forced to develop something new to differentiate themselves from Blox. And so on. Now, is a little more regulation required? Probably. Did I still buy my Blox intake manifold over the S2 Pro Series because it was $120 cheaper? Damn right I did. Why can't Skunk2 be competitive on price? I have yet to see anyone complain of an intake manifold failure.

Are you guys serious?
Skunk2 and BLOX products are probably made in the same freakin' factory in Taiwan. If you wonder why the products look the same, it's because they ARE the same. BLOX can offer the same **** cheaper because they probably have less overhead, do less marketing/advertising, sponsor fewer cars, etc.
Buying BLOX products is NOT supporting the knockoff industry, it's buying the same mass produced parts from overseas, just at a cheaper price with a different name attached to them. Skunk2 obviously outsources their manufacturing, and BLOX probably gets the same products from the manufacturer.
I bet OBX uses some of the same factories and products too...

That's retarded! I guarantee if I place both a Skunk2 and Blox product in front of you, you wouldn't know the difference. Besides if they are exactly the same then are they both not quality? I'm sure they both have the same QA process from their factories over seas lol!
Yuppppppppppp

Personally, I wouldn't buy either of their products unless they were something that you can't f*ck up... Like a plastic velocity stack or a VTEC solenoid cover.

if blox is exactly the same as skunk2, then why are the bushings in the blox control arms so shitty and dont last and the skunk2 control arms last??
