Count the amount of teeth on the countershaft gear, and divide it by the amount of teeth on the corresponding mainshaft gear. That will give you the gear ratio of each individual set.

With the YS1 out of the car you could have also marked and spun the input shaft. Then count how many times it takes for the differential to make one full revolution.

The input shaft on an LS YS1 will make 5.40 revolutions, to the differentials one revolution

The input shaft on an XSi/GSR YS1 will make 6.40 revolutions, to the differentials one revolution.

i have a speed sensor for sale lol. they arent too difficult to replace at all. I just took my intake hose out and unbolted that 1 bolt that holds it in, take the cable out and take the 2 hoses off of the sensor and then bam it just lifts up. then put everything back onto it. isnt hard at allll!

Damn that sucks!
I have a stock rebuilt LS Motor and just installed a [92-93 GSR (b17)/92-93 XSI] Tranny in mine and at 55 im at 3.25 and 60 at 3.5.

LS tranny's are lame. Hope you find a better tranny soon good luck

Hey guys picked up a B18a1 today and i have to change my wire harness because my car is a 1990 LS. That's OBD0 right? It USED to have the B17a1 so it must've had a OBD1 correct? LOL Just to clear things up for my dad....ANY B18a1 complete STOCK intake system would bolt right up no problems right? He is saying something about the sticker..."API Service: SG" doesn't belong in my LS. I'm so confused!

Damn I want some MR5's BAD. If you put a little more detail on your car duma, it would look a lot better.
