yo duma, you put the detents back in right? those 2 bolts near the bottom with the springs a Ball bearings in them? those are what control the shift forks.

im not sure, he doesnt seem like the type of guy who would do something incorrectly but you never know, so my boy will probably be able to figure out whats wrong tomorrow hopefully and i can get this whole process over with. This whole process makes me not want to do anything to the car at all anymore

its going to with the case open, the shift lever arms and scha arent held down correctly with the case off. reverse is going to be tricky with a screw driver,

if anything just get the ys1 and if the person has faith that their trans is in good working order have them write up a bill of sale saying that if theres any problems you can return it for a full refund

That's weird man, I did all of my bushings with the 12ton HF press. I had to get creative for some parts, but i do remember the front LCAs giving us trouble. We did get them though:

For some reason the jack wouldn't keep pressure, otherwise I would have tried to get the fronts out too with the 12 ton. I gave up too fast probably

ahh ok yea i was wondering if the case being off would cause it to not really function well shoot i may not have a problem at all with my tranny then besides a worn bushing and 3rd gear synchro clearence was out of spec maybe i can just get a overhaul kit and replace the bearings and synchros also can the ball and springs be purchased i seem to be missing the one that goes into the reverse idler
