How can i tell if my mounts are good or bad. Looks for cracks?

 

i just popped the hood and revved the motor a little bit and looked for movement. my motor was all over the place

cracks, rips, tears, etc.

first one i'd check would be the driver side mount. they're famous for going bad in our cars. i DESTROYED mine. i honestly dont know how it was even holding my engine in anymore. my car has been sitting ever since then. decided it was time to start my build at that point. i now have innovative mounts, but no motor for them to hold yet

 

I have all my mounts messed up really bad, the vibration is crazy (and I don´t use my A/C for nothing) I have an auto tranny imagen what I feel when I have my foot on the brake pedal, on Drive, with 2 HID kits always on, and the A/C... It´s crazy I tell ya...

Replace them mounts and you would really feel the difference...

 

if the rest of your mounts are stock and u don't use the front mount you are making an ignorant mistake. As a matter of fact i just replaced my trashed front mount yesterday and immediately noticed a difference. The easiest way to tell that the front mount is bad is when you are on and off the gas on the highway and the shifter moves. My engine had a ton of movement that disappeared after replacing the mount.

there is MORE vibration now though. that's what i expected.

how many fasteners hold on the stock USDM corner lights? i tried pulling one of mine out today to swap the bulbs real quick in the rain. I took one scew out and it seemed like it wanted to break before pulling out. It was raining so i didn't look into it any further....

 

It "pops" in with alignment tabs that stick into the headlight bracket. Try to slide it forward towards the front of the bumper. Don't pull up on it. Can anyone explain this better? I dont know if its completely understandable.

 

While were on the light subject. How to I wire my fogs to come on with parking lights only? I see it all the time. I want it. Haha

I always wonder how to have the parking lights and fog lights on with the stock fog light wiring hardness.

 

It's sad and really shitty that he passed but you can't compare someone who make commercials that come on at 2 in the morning that most people never see to someone who sold 750,000,000 albums worldwide and had a huge impact in the music industry and millions of people.
