Turbo and stock diffs?
I'm new to this whole turbo scene but my setup is almost complete...
I was just wondering if a setup like this would do okay for a couple of passes at the track using a stock GSR differential? In other words will it break? Setup consists of sc61, equal length manifold, hks bov, spearco i/c, tial w/g and some more goodies..possibly looking at 400+ whp if all goes well..I plan on investing in a quaife diff. but money is sort of tight at the moment so any opinions/comments are welcome..

Re: Turbo and stock diffs? (Quad-Damage)
I bought the blow off valve off a kid who had it in his midori green ek and he had the chargepipe powdercoated the same color of the car hence the color of the blow off valve u see in the picure but I am not using the piping it came with, just using the bov and flange..

I'm not boosting at the moment because it isn't finished yet, i thought 400hp would be normal with a b series turbo by now..

The stock Open diff is fine. That is all I have ever had and it handled my 400hp just fine. I have cut low 1.7 60's w/ one as well.

Setup was: 89' Hatch, Stock B16a, YS1 (92-93 gsr trans) on Mickey Thompson 20x8x14's(slicks) launching off the limiter. Best 60' was 1.71 and that still stands for me as a personal best to this day. The average were 1.73-1.76 w/ hundreds of runs on that setup netting 13.90's @ a very low MPH
