Turbo Edit? Anybody heard of it?

Turbo Edit? Anybody heard of it?
I have a post going in the teg forum bout some weird wires tapped into my ecu that I was worried about cuz I was about to convert to OBD1. So heres my question, someone in the Teg forum mentioned getting "Turbo Edit" cuz its supose to work with OBD0. Has anyone had any experiance with this good or bad? Where would I get this, I have never hear of this before. Please help!

Is that something safe or reliable? I"m not building a 500hp race motor or anything just a fresh rebuilt B18a with 6-8 psi. Is it worth trying or would it be better just to convert to OBD1 and get hondata? It would be great to keep costs down but I don't wanna grenade my fresh motor

Is that something that can run 6-8psi? What would I have to do to run that? Chip my OBD0 ecu? I've spent the last three days researching OBD1 convert. with Hondata and now I find out I can use OBD0... 
Would my local dyno shop be able to tune with it. Seems like everytime I think I got it figured out....

yes you will need to socket your ecu, and yes its fine for 6-8 psi. it does basically the same thing as hondata but without the price tag. dont waste your money converting to OBD1 for a LS w/8 psi.

Great thanks alot guys this will save me tons of money. Is it just a blank chip i need or to socket the ecu? So keep my ecu and get it socketed? is that all? to chip or burning or anything?

Read up on http://www.pgmfi.org and do a serach here on HT for turboedit and youll pull up a lot of stuff.

turbo edit is amazing stuff. i'm running an old version, and i daily drive my d16a6 at 8-9 psi, and its perfect.
it can support a REALLY wild engine with the right MAP sensor. its all about good TUNING though.... you'll need a wideband O2 sensor to tune properly.... but like everyone says, just research the crap out of it. i'm not very computer-savy, and it took me a long time of re-reading stuff to figure out what some of the stuff was saying, but its very simple and understandable.

Great thanks alot makes me feel better that someone else is running it on here too. I'm hoping that the plase i'm bringing my car to get dyno'd after the work can tune it cuz im sure i can't

yeah, LOTS of people on here, ef-honda.com, homemadeturbo.com, d-series.org, etc are running turboedit.
seriously though, go to pgmfi.org, and read all about turbo edit, there are step-by-step writeups on how it works, how to run it, how to chip ecu's, etc. it will be WORTH YOUR WHILE! good luck man-adam
