Stock Sleeve Build....Turbo?

Stock Sleeve Build....Turbo?
I'm rebuilding my GSR motor. Looking for a little help on turbo selection
Stock Sleeve
CP 9.5:1 pistons
Eagle Rods / Arp Rod bolts
Arp Head & Mainstuds
GSR Cams
Supertech Valves, Springs, and Retainers
Goal: 300-350whp.....maybe 350-400 (not sure how stock sleeves will hold up)
I've read a lot in F.I. and the Integra forum. Still a noob when it comes to turbo.
Maybe some of the veterans can steer me in the right direction. From what I've read a GT28 would be suitable for 300-350. However I've noticed that GT3071, GT3076, and P 6262 are some fan favs. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Stock Sleeve Build....Turbo?
A GT30 sounds like it would be your best bet.
A GT28 would run out before 400. BUT, it will spool noticeably faster than any GT30.
What will the car be used for?
If its a street car, 350hp with a GT2871 will feel way faster than 400hp from a GT3076.

For 300, a 28 is what you want. For 400, a 3076 is what you want. 300 is also more than enough for the streets, especially when you're using street tires, and the stock open differential. Unless you plan on running some special tires, and replacing your differential (or entire transmission), stick with the 28, and stick with 300. You'll be faster than 99% of the cars on the road with that, anyway.

Sry I forgot to post the other upgrades...
Victor X I.M.
550cc Injectors
Walbro 255
Hondata
Innovate Wideband L-1
I have not decided on the exhaust manifold yet...log, mini ram, ramhorn, cast? stainless? Im going to do some further reading but the GT2871 (im planning on ball bearing) sounds like the route to take from goals. With the setup I have listed above and the goal of reaching 300-350whp for the streets, any suggestions for the manifold? Im 99.9% sure I am not running A/C.
And please feel free to mention any concerns you may see with the setup I am pulling together. I would rather not waste the time or money if it isn't necessary.
Thanks for the help.

may be nice for partial throtle and cruising but ive seen cars that spin the tyres a lot from too much torque too soon.
You can always ask the shodan for the very nice "silver surfer" turbo
A mini ram will do the job very well.No need for a full ramhorn at that power levels really.

I'm building a similar setup for a friend, stock sleeved GSR with 10:1 pistons and the same HP goals. We are going with a Evo8 16G. I also think a GT28R series turbo would be perfect if you can afford it. There is also a journal bearing version if you cant afford the ball bearing.

Re: Stock Sleeve Build....Turbo?
I have the shodan turbo the gt3052b . It's a nice turbo I've taken a crx from a 60 roll with twice as much hp. Also a log manifold tubular would be more then enough.

For less than 400hp, amd with a gt28, just get one of the ebay cast manifolds. And spend the money you saved on a nice intercooler

Tubular logs and cheap cast manifolds "work" but a good ram horn will get you more HP per # of boost and be easier to tune.
A GT30R is the best of all worlds. Very responsive at 300whp but can take you well into the 10's later on.

Re: Stock Sleeve Build....Turbo?
You I'll be surprise on what stock sleeves can handle !
- I find that the connecting rods are the weak link ( that's if you have an experience tuner)
- my turbo b16 did 729 on stock sleeves , my buddy Vue moua did 692 who - before that we both been over 500 whp for over two years
