cool. I was just trying to save some money on the pully since I am jobless and need one very bad.I also need the spacer. Is your pulley in good condition and are you willing to ship?

yeah, its in good condition. i did have one sieze, thats the reason i bought two brand new machined pullies with dual bearings, rather than the stock nylon with one single bearing.

I remember when my dad seized my idler pulley. He took my mom out for breakfast in my car, and was doing about 90 on a local road when the pulley seized and sent the belt flying through my engine bay.

I found this very interesting today. I dynoed my new turbo setup.

JRSC 6psi pulley, rising to 8psi by 7K

T3T04e 57 trim .63A/R at 7psi

64whp and 50wtq increase.

Nothing has changed except for type of forced induction.

I think if I find the money... I'm just going straight to an M62ed D16Z6 for a DD.

Nice numbers but, look at the torque curve from the JRSCed dyno. Nice and flat.

Anyone have a dyno plot of a M62 SOHC? I'm curious what the difference would really be.

Yeah, the dyno curve was nice with the JRSC, I'll admit to that. But I'm not a roadracer or autoXers... so technically anything behind 4500 is almost never used.

who cares! driving around town I barely get OVER 4500rpms! If I was building a drag car, sure it would have a turbo under the hood. but it would not be a sohc. but for many applications, the SC is the wise choice. for every day driving, you can't beat them. a sohc SC'd car is very fun car for a daily driver. cheap and reliable.

up for SC

Understandable.....

It just bugs that there is so much hate on the JRSC. Peak HP numbers are so misleading. I've been in big turbo high boost cars that had absolutely no power off boost.

It's basically....

No power....wait....wait....here comes the boost....oh ****....brakes!

I've decided to try a turbo set up of my own just so I can make an accurate comparison for myself. I really believe that I won't be changing my mind and I'll be looking for another JRSC.

I really enjoy being able to tip into the throttle in any gear and get instant boost. It's almost like having a larger displacement engine under the hood.

I DD a Jetta w/ a 1.8T under the hood. The turbo is pretty small but, there is still a considerable amount of lag as far as I'm concerned. I always have to downshit a couple of gears to get the boost going.

Enough of that.....

Someone please post some SOHC M62 or modded M45 dyno graphs!

Like I said, if and when I get a nice DD, I will be SCing it again. The turbo isn't much good on the street, especially the size I have.

I mean ****, I make full boost by 5400, all 7lbs of it.
