SC installs are easy if you have all the correct hoses and belts.

My SC was installed by me in less then four hours. Honestly, the hardest part was scraping the old IM gasket off the head I wish I would have taken pics.

i got lucky, mine came off in one piece.

i had trouble with fouling plugs, but after a day or so of street tuning.... **** runs perfect. just need to swap out my stock B16 TB without working ICV with my maxbore unit with the working idle valve and i'm golden.

My SC install was a nightmare, I would rather have gone through the turbo install again before doing that one over.

Just seemed like everything went wrong, and the stupid things got in the way.

wow i just read most of the thread and well im thinking i might go SC instead of turbo..... the car is an 88 civic wagon RTawd my winter/daily driver but im a honda geek so i cant just drive it i need a lil get up and go. i have already bought a pieced together turbo kit composed of an HF mani, t3 turbo, charge pipes, BOV, ect ect but after reading this i think for what i use the car for a supercharger is going to be my best investment. anyone want to trade a SC for my kit? if i do end up supercharing i will for sure post an AWD dyno run and whatever interesting footage i can make with an AWD honda.

My first car was supercharged (ran this setup from 1998 - 2000) So for the time it was a fairly quick car.
93 Del Sol SI
d16Z6 w/ Y7 head
9.0:1 SRPs
AEM Rods
SI Valves
ARP Studs
3.0" Pulley - 11-12 lbs - wasn't a widely available pulley at the time
80 shot direct port NOS
AEM Intake
Kamikaze 4:1
Greddy Cat back
MSD 6 BTM
Exedy 3 puck
Kaaz LSD
Vortec(h) FMU and VAFC w/ 310cc injectors
Car ran:
12.1 at 115 on 22" Slicks (back in 2000)
12.8 @ 112 on BFGs (back in 2000)

If I knew then what I knew now, car could have been much faster. Will post some pics of the car later.

Hahaha.

The install itself wasn't hard, it was just annoying. Power steering lines got in the way, I had to bash in my shock tower. For whatever reason the belt wouldn't go on right, so we spent an hour trying to find a different belt that would work... only to find that the belt we had went on just fine with no issues!?! Broke my knock sensor, yada yada lol.

Took it off and reinstalled my intake in a grand total of 3 hours though.

I might have one in a a few weeks, right now I have a 3.2 inch, might go down to 3.0 depending on the dyno and the intake temps, I will let you know.
