Default not feeling boost...

heres my set up. 96rs drag gen3 kit.
-7psi using deltagate wg.
-Using the fmu
-7 heat range plugs gapped at .032
-stock ignition, and wires
-WS exhaust, no cat.
-not getting egt reading above 800
-92 octane gas

my gauge shows me going into boost, but its not translating into any power. IT feels almost as if im getting no throttle response, revs rise slowly. Do u guys think it might be the heat 100+ degrees. Any suggestions, I think the dyno is my next step.

do you have a stock clutch???..maybe your clutch is goin and it can't hold the power...or...your not getting enough spark in one or more cylinders.......but i could totally be wrong with either suggestion...i'm still learning...

What's your timing set at? Is it really low? Check all your wires and plugs for anything unusual. Its weird cuz you said your gauge shows you going into boost.. what is your boost gauge reading during idle? It should be around -20, -22. Check all your intercooler pipes too, although if they were off you wouldn't be getting a reading of positive boost.

thx, for the replies guys. I have an act clutch, no air/fuel meter. The timing is set to stock, no retarding. Vaccum reads a 50 cm/kg. Should i get an air/fuel gauge, or an fuel pressure gauge? Would running too rich, cause this problem?

You can easily tell if you're running excessively rich.. do you see black smoke coming out of your car? Still check up on all your wires and plugs.

no smoke. I checked the plugs 2 weeks ago and were fine, ill check again. The plug wires do look a bit ratty. has anyone tried accel wires?

I wouldn't run a turbo seyup w/out an A/F gauge and fuel pressure gauge (at least an underhood one). It'd be pretty impossible to tune w/out them.

On another note: When I had my Civic it seemed like I wasn't feeling the boost either for a while. Boost gauge showed 6-7 but it felt slow. Turned out I had a ripped coupler between my piping and intercooler. It felt like a whole new car after repairing it. Check all your connections. Hopefully your fix will be that easy.

When your coupling was ripped, did you still boost ok? (Did your boost guage still show regular boost?) I know ONE of my coupling's are "Scratched Up" and I'm having the same problems as Quik. I'm wondering if it's the coupling or not.

Yup, The boost gauge showed normal boost but I think the turbo was actually pushing a lot more because most of it was going out the rip in the silicone hose. When I fixed it it was WAY better.

IC IC! I'll check my silicone hose tonight. I KNOW one of them is ripped on the surface, but I don't think the rip is all the way through.
