Default Misfire in Boost (solved)

I have recently started having misfire issues. It only happens when I get on it and is usually over 5k rpm and boost about 1bar. I just changed my spark plugs (I use the vpower 8step gapped to about .26). It is a pretty constant high speed stutter and won't build boost past 1bar. Here is my basic setup:

T3/T67
MSD blaster coil, dizzy cap and plug wires (1 yr old)
RC750cc
Crome Tuned

I need to check the datalog on the AFRs but they were running about 11.8 in high boost before I ran into the misfire problems. From reading my gauge it may be due to being to rich now even though I did not change my tune. I am going to check later and stay on it to see if the AFRs dip too low, maybe I need to lean it out for some reason.

Any other ideas?

Update
I ended up solving my problem last night. I first did a pull and the datalog showed 11.8 all the way across, so it was not the fuel. Then I started noticing that it started happening around the VTEC engagement point. I went under the hood and checked the connections to the solenoid and there must have been a short somewhere because I had no misfires after that.

Regarding the gap, max boost for me is about 26psi (500+wph with meth/water injection) so I am not sure if I could run a gap as low as .20.

I just had the same problem.... trashed my motor too.

It was because I built a custom wire harness and the dizzy was getting interferance some how.

Good luck.

Does the distributor have red dust in it?

i had same issue as you i gapped the plugs to .021 and it went away. i didn't think it would work but to my surprise runs great now. if u think its your dist. just get a lifetime warranty igniter from autozone or the whole distributer lifetime warranty its worth it.

Try a smaller gap on the plugs. Even with the MSD coils(any besides something like the HVC II coil). You will need to run a smaller gap then a .26. Take it down too .20-.22 and go from there. Ive had to gap cars as low as .16. This has been on lower boost(less than 20 psi).
