Default Is vac necessary on a boost gague??

I have a boost gauge laying around without the vac. it only reads boost up to 15 psi. I like it better than the ones that read vacume because it is easier to read. Is the vacume reading necessary or will this gauge be ok.

It's nice to know your vac reading at idle, in case you have a vac leak or something.

especially if you boost really high and you need to do a systems check.

yuppers. i guess, it would depend on how advanced ur setup is, if its just a junkyard turbo , that would be more than enough..but it would be nice to have -vac readings so you can check for leaks!
