mild p&p on overbore GSR...debur id of combustion chambers?
Im doing my third diy p&p, but this time the block is a 1.9 GSR.
It will be heavily boosted 22-27psi t3/t4 type settup.
Since the bore is bigger, the combustion chambers protrude into the bore of the cylinders like a ledge. -Which being sharp could be a source of detonation or hot spots.
Its now at about 9:1 compression and I dont want to drop it much more, so less is better when removing material from the combustion chambers.
Should I debur the "ledge" (outside border of the combustion chamber) or sand it down and round it out.
What did others do?
