Default Problems with setup please Help, dyno graph inside!!!!

Here's my setup, after 6k rpm, my power just goes to hell. I've checked ignition timing, cam timing, vtec is working, etc. I've been double checking everything and found that on the msd digital 6, the cylinder setting was set to 8cylinder instead of 4 cylinder, so...my question is, do you think that could be the problem with my car?
My turbo setup is:
precision sc61 turbo
inline pro manifold
pwr intercooler

block is 84mm bore, 9:1 compression IB spec wiseco pistons.
Gsr head

This setup should be making more then 200whp so i know something is definately wrong. I did a compression test today and yielded 200 on all four cylinders.
I don't want to spend another $100 for 3 dyno pulls to see if that was the problem or not so i'm asking if you guys think the setting on the msd could've been the problem. THanks all for your help. Paul

A/F was tuned conservatively at around 12.5-12

Let's see if I can make the graph bigger.

I don't think it worked.

Timing was 22 degrees at 10psi and no a/f chart. I was using the fjo wideband meter datalogging with the hondata.

... $100 for 3 pulls aint too bad... i've definitely seen alot worse... btw, is this the regular price at adam's?... or was it a hook-up type of thing?... also, is it extra for the a/f sniffer?... (just curious, cuz i plan on heading over there after my rebuild)...

... anyways, good luck with setup... i hope you find out what the problem is...

i felt the same way with my setup. at 9.5 psi i was only at 210whp. but it only costed me $140 for 7 pulls which isn't too shabby.

what kind of a/f were you at? 22 degrees should give you a lot more power than that

I think the main concern/question here is what could possibly be making the power drop off the way it is after 6000rpms?

Lets see 9:1 compression? No turbo on it and what intake manifold??? But then you have the most amzing torque at 175lbs???? I don't believe the numbers. I think 175lbs of torque in a 84mm NA is some kind of record, lol Let along at low compression.

I wouldn't expect anything more then what you have for your compression ratio.

I would complete eliminate the MSD box and run the stock ignition. In the last week of tuning two seperate cars both with aftermarket ignition systems they have caused misfires, or poor/no starting. My best guess is that the MSD is the cause of your problem. Send me your Hondata maps if you want me to take a look.

At what rpm are you having vtec activate? Torque and power are peaking at about the same point...I'd say it is either a problem with vtec, mechanically, though you said it's engaging, or the MSD.

By the graphs it looks like a VTEC activation problem.

Check that and try your stock ignition. MSD could be causing the issue.

The problem with paul's car is that it was missing a pin from the rocker arms to engage vtec. It was also missing a dowel pin and oring. Once i fixed all that it started making good power!

whoa this sounds exactly like the problem my friend is having. i'll have to link him to this post... it's the exact thing... past 6000 rpm it's like dead.

i have this same problem.after 6k ...nada. john@secretservices(vaportrail) said that its either my valves are bent;not seated properly or the turbo is bad.

another customer had this similar problem and they checked everything and once he changed his valves.....there was a huge power increase...so you might want to check that out.

let me know how it turns out and good luck..i am pulling my head this weekend

marc....get ready
