if you do not know the answer, do not even get the boost controller. do you even know what each are for? i hate to see you blow your motor because the boost is set too high.
btw. you do not NEED a timer or a boost controller.

Just get the turbo timer to keep your turbo happy.
P.S. You dont need the boost controller unless the spring in your wg is too low or high for your desired psi.

Ok well what if im at 8psi and my wastegate is 7-15 psi do i have to worry or no and i know the difference and what they do but i also thought the turbo controler would time it aswell but never mind . So your ^ saying if i have 8 psi with a wastegate with 7-15 psi i dont need the controler . But i will get the controller but im still saving after the turbo manifold and down pipe im buying.

huh? boost controllers do not LOWER pressure. it can only raise it.
brasilstreet - please search and read more of the FL archives. lots of useful info there. you can just sit in your car for a minute to cool it down if you do not want a timer. i do not understand "if im at 8psi and my wastegate is 7-15 psi "

brasilstreet.
A boost controller changes the amout of boost.
A wastegate spring is set for one pressure, not from say x to y. Most likely your spring is set around 7psi. This means you CANNOT go lower than 7psi. IF you would like to go higher, then you use a boost controller, to raise the psi to what you want it to be.
A turbo timer keeps your car running for about a minute after you turn the car off, this way, the oil in the turbo has a moment to cool down as it is bad for hot oil to sit in your turbo.
I can tell from your questions, you are new to the turbo/car modifying world, learn how to use the search function on this website and use it to search out all the questions you have before asking, because most likely, someone like yourself has already asked that same question. IF you don't find out what your looking for, then you post.
There is a lot to learn about the turbo world, please read up before you make an attempt. READ THESE TWO SITES OVER AND OVER AND OVER......these two sites have all the basic info you need to know.

You do not NEED either, but both of them are neat if you want to spend money.

Yea seriously, is 5-6 mins a day worth 70-80 bucks? Id rather spend it elsewhere
