What is a boost controller? What dose it do?
it prevents over boost...and i think helps with boost spikes...does some other stuff im sure but i dont quite know off the top of my head...
First questions is do you have turbo? If not don't worry about it. If so then I agree with what madd said.
Go in the Forced Induction forum and just read every post in the first 5 or 6 pages. You will become a turbo GOD!!!

a boost controller adjusts the amount of boost that gets to the wastegate actuator. it helps keep it closed longer so that the turbo spools faster and can attain a higher peak boost level. say your turbo kit makes 5psi but you want to make 8 without changing the wastegate spring, then you would use a boost controller.
