Yea that's always a plus, I can hardly mig but appreciate the work that went into it.
Is this only for the block breathers?
Yeah the one in the back of the car is specifically to help with crank pressure, no return or anything like that. The other breather can has an oil return, I just am trying things out so I don't have a half quart of oil spitting all over my engine bay each pass LOL.
I think the guys name is Jason Ostrum and Speed Factory just did his 4 door EK, however my buddy Joe was telling me that he is local now to AZ. So I am guessing I will be seeing the car at local events here in AZ.
From my understanding he has a Dogbox FWD set in an AWD case using the PBE Billet Bell Housing and Speed Factory's kit. Speed Factory was testing it this past weekend and out the box banged out some 7.8's.
Absolutely, a PPG gearset for an AWD b-series is going for 10k, if I can buy a kit from speedfactory to allow me to use my current PPG gearset for less than a grand perfect. I can sell my Liberty Billet Housing to fund the PBE and sell my Kaizenspeed rear training arm kit for the AWD setup.
So I am going to wait for all the bugs to be worked out and go from there.
Spoiler Alert: Sounds like AWD stuff just came..lol
I wish, I found out this weekend that I actually would need to buy the PPG AWD gearset for my car and that I cannot use the PPG B Series gearset I currently have. So for now I am going to work with the FWD setup until prices go down.
I just don't feel like having to sell my transmission and then pony up 13k or more for a AWD transmission setup. With the power my car makes I can't just can't use a stock gearset unless I want to break it every single pass LOL.

Since you don’t want that FWD transmission to go to waste..... my address is I take donations
Yeah I think that is the K-Series record, AWD is for sure a game changer. We will see if there is a race to see who can knock out the first 6 second pass, that would be crazy.
If you don't mind. Who did your 25.5,and what did it truly cost with labor/material? I have been getting a lot of different pricing while searching around.

Yeah you will hear lot's of different prices all the way up to about 10k. There are lot's of different factors, I already had a 10 point cage in my car but I pretty much cut most of it out with the exception of the main hoop and rear bars. So material costs I paid $1000 bucks for all the chromoly bars and $3500 for labor. $4500 for a 25.5 cage is very cheap but I did remove my windows, roof all interior and prepped everything and provided the materials.

Ok wasn't sure. I had already planned to do all that work for a 10 point, but with safety being a paramount was wondering if I should just do it once and be done. 4500 is around some of the pricing I have been finding.. Which is mostly labor costs from what I have been reading
So the motor is all back together and now is in the car. Got the axles in, fuel lines, tapped and built a line and sensor for coolant pressure so I can monitor the head gasket. Also built the line for the catch can going to the rear of the car. I've been grinding down on the turbo manifold and I will show some updates of why I am doing that but we were not sure if that had something to do with the head gasket issue or not. Got a new ballast cut out at industrial metal and am waiting for my buddy to plasma me some new tow hook ends once that is done I can change my current ballast. The current one is 90 pounds, this one will be 60, I am going to test both to see if it makes any big difference, if not I will use the light one.
As I get more done I will update with some more pictures.
