Default high speeds with a VIS

I know everyone is going to tell me to search but i have and want to see what people have to say. I got a VIS cf hood and I really hate the look of hood pins. I hear all these my friend stories of a VIS flipping up on someone. I was hoping to get some feedback from integra owners with VIS hoods that have reached high speeds and haven’t had any problems.

My friend backed into me and put a big dent in my hood. I didn’t want to buy a new hood and have it get all **** painted and charge my friend all that money. So I got a cf hood instead. So please don’t make comments concerning me keeping a stock hood if I don’t want hood pins. thanks

Friend installed a JDM EF front end on his 91 Si hatch along w/ a VIS hood to fit the JDM front... 1 week later the hood flips up, busts the windshield and puts a dent in the roof.

Hood locks or pins might not be too aesthetically pleasing but they could save your *** from a major accident or possibly hurting someone else. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I have read alot of stories about this happening but my friend has a VIS hood on his 00 SI and his hood has yet to flip.

VIS recommends that you use hood pins with their hoods.
better safe than sorry.

Just use locks, they're cleaner than pins and add security against someone being able to get your hood open.
