Default Hood Pins: The only way to hold down a hood?

I have a 1995 Integra LS 5-speed with a VIS OEM Carbon Fiber Hood. When I drive on the interstate my hood open/unlatched light comes from time to time and sometimes flashes. I have asked many friends of mine whether or not hood pins are the only way to go with fixing the problem, and they said 'yes.' My question is, are there any other alternatives out there to doing this so I don't have to drill through my hood?

It's probably your hatch. Check the switch and wiring by taking off the rear most panel.

there is no hood light that tells u if its opened or closed in the first place there is only one for your truck second of all you can use your stock latch and pins that is your best bet

Haha, this gave me a chuckle. It's probably your hatch light.

Anyway, maybe he does have an aftermarket alarm where it does notify you if you have your hood open. ::shrugs:: I guess it's possible, right? Unlikely though.

Okay, maybe I wasn't specific enough for you the first time. YES, the light is coming on like where the hatch would be open but it is always closed so I figured it could have something to do with the hood being open or any wind tunnel created by not having the hood completely flat against the front of my car. Anyway, that's not what I want to know. This is: ARE HOOD PINS THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE? I have already asked someone about moving the stock latch lower, but it cannot be done because the latch attaches to the frame. Any suggestions and/or criticism are welcome.
