Jake Stumph is a lifelong car enthusiast and racer, and former content editor for Internet Brands Automotive which he joined in 2015. His work has been featured by several other prominent automotive outlets, including Jalopnik and Autobytel.
He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the Ohio State University in 2013, then pivoted from covering politics and policy to writing about his automotive adventures, something that, he says, is a lot more fun. Since that time, he has established connections with most of the world's major automakers, as well as other key brands in the automotive industry.
He enjoys track days, drifting, and autocross, at least, when his cars are running right, which is uncommon.
Today’s video comes to us from the U.K. where those plucky Brits at Autocar magazine have lined up a two-way duel between the newest supercars on the block. Right off the bat, this initially seems like an odd comparison, with an exotic brand like McLaren paired against a Honda. However, the NSX of today is […] More »
The Navarro Brothers initially came to prominence a few years ago, with videos featuring their “stanced” cars. They have been consistently chipping away, producing new content since then, but their focus seems to have shifted. The NSX is the too long-awaited second iteration of Honda’s famous world beating sports car. Unlike the simplicity of the original, the new NSX is technological powerhouse. Featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6, […] More »
Filmmaker Robert Albalas has put together two short films encapsulating the spirit of the original NSX. Conceived in the 1980’s, the NSX was being developed at a high point for the Honda brand. In addition to being a winning engine supplier in Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport, the brand was also branching out commercially. This […] More »
Last week there was a bolt-on and tuned 9th gen Si here, and now we have another one, this time complete with a K20/24 frankenstein engine. In what has become the de facto hotrod Honda motor mash up, you can take the head from a K20Z3/K20A/K20A2 and combine it with the K24 block from a […] More »
The premise is simple: 30 seconds to review a car. Up on the chopping block, or as our host says “the Barret Jackson Auction Block” is a 1995 Honda Civic, complete with a broken axle. What more needs to be said? via Andrew Edgar
The great Type-R drought continues in the United States, as we await the release of the 10th generation Honda Civic’s Type-R variant. That said, Europe has had readily available access to the European-spec FK2 chassis Civic Type-R. The FK2 uses the same 2.0L turbocharged, direct-fuel injected EarthDreams K20C engine that our new Type-R will have, […] More »
