Default OBD0 DIZZY WITH P28 ECU

Hey,

I need to know if it's possible to run a P28 Ecu to a OBD0 distributor. I swapped my d15 block from d15b2 to a d16 with p29 pistons, and now the car is not pulling past 5500rpm. It has noticeably more power, but suffoces up top where it matters. I tried swapping an obd1 dizzy but it doesnt mount on my head, the shape is way different. Is there a way for me to install my p28 ecu while keeping the current obd0 distributor?

Unfortunately not. The OBD-0 distributor has a 16 tooth wheel whereas the OBD-1 and 2 distributors have 24 tooth wheels for the CKP sensor. The ECU cannot manage proper ignition timing with this incongruity.

Thank you very much. I will get a new head that's OBD1 from factory. Do you have any recommendations for a D16 high compression build, that's not Z6, since i can't find a single one in my country..

From D15B2..but I just got a B7 head that has the mounting points exactly for OBD1 so that should fix my issue.

A z6 distributor will only fit a z6 head, you must use the d15b7 obd1 or d16y7/y8 obd2 distributor.

Moving from a B2 head to a B7 head solves the distributor mounting issue as long as you use a B7 OBD-1 style distributor with it.

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I'm gonna do and I'll update once done. I got the head coming in today and I'm picking the dizzy up tommorow.
