Nah i dont work for motorsport, wish i did- this is just for fun. i have started making electronics for people...
I know.. Most parts are compatible with EG6, some are compatible with the 4dr.. Certain things can be a pain in the ****..
Small update for tonight, The lower dash panels have arrived, so ive been assembling them all..
Please excuse the rough edges on the steel support structure, it still needs alot of work to fit and get it just right...

Had to use the laptop to backlight it lol.. Also the lower AWD dial text wont be lit as the pots are too big. Ill have to hunt for some compact ones..

How did you get such a nice square for the LCD screen? I've been trying to figure out a way to cut a similar hole for a 20x4 LCD in sheet metal but so far I think the best way I've come up with is chiseling out a hole. It looks like you might have used a different material.
As for the cool labeling that you did- how exactly did you do that? I'm probably going to end up using my label maker and sheet metal to achieve something similar but I'm curious as to how you got such a nice effect.
Where do you buy your toggle switches from? I've been struggling to find a place that doesn't charge $4-6 for a stupid toggle switch that I'm sure costs $0.10 to make.
Also, a few more questions- these are electronics based.
Those shifter LEDs. Where did you find such a nice case for them? I'm going to be using an Arduino UNO to illuminate LEDs but so far all my work has been on breadboards. It'd be nice to have an enclosure that I can actually use in my car.
How does the anti lag work? How did you get it to interface with Hondata?

The panel is actually a painted sheet of clear acrylic that has been laser etched by a mate. The laser can also be used to cut- hence the straight edges.. It was all CAD modelled..
The switches are from an electronics wholesaler ovr here called rapid electronics.. They also supply the project boxes..
I built the anti lag to piggyback the ECU

I found some project boxes from a supplier over here and already ordered some. Thanks. Are the LEDs just wired into a breadboard inside the box?
As for the anti-lag- You're just intercepting and modifying signals to the ECU, right? How did you wire it so that the signal is unaffected during normal operation while still allowing you to change the signal during anti-lag? I'm going to be doing something similar with an Arduino Uno and I'm not sure how fast it'll be so I want to pass the signal through unaffected during normal operation and then intercept it during full throttle starts.
I guess I forgot to add that your build is awesome. I'm doing a lot of similar things but nowhere near as complex or refined. I can't wait to see the end result.

Thanks mate. I bought the over fenders, need to modify them to ft the car perfectly.. Then cut away some of the original arch so the tyre will clear..

im thinking about getting into the motorsport side but not sure which way to go about it, i might pop to glyndwr university and see if they have any courses there to help.
You are by far the most innovative person to grace this forum! Hats off to you man, big time. The stuff you do and design is simply mind blowing! Truely an artist! The time and effort you put in to this thing is freakin amazing, and it will pay off. Definately the most unique and innovative stuff I have ever seen. You should definately be an engineer or working for major shops/companies

Thanks alot for that, im pretty sure there are others on this forum too.. I have really enjoyed reading plenty of builds on here!
I would love to work in motorsport, especially development. Williams F1 offered me a job following an interview but for various reasons i had to turn it down..
Mr Domino: ill drop you a PM later on.. I dont really want to broadcast how ive done certain things..

WHAT! YOU TURNED IT DOWN!? But like you said, I'm sure you had your reasons. But man that would have been awesome for you. I think you would be a great asset to any team/company.
Understandable. Whenever you get a chance drop me a line. I'll let you in on what I'm working on too since I'm keeping it under wraps until I get it working or at least to a stage where it isn't just some notes on pieces of paper.

I know weather has been pretty crap here, had to do my cousins alternator and i could not feel my hands, freezing.

Good stuff mate- youll have to start yourself a build thread!
The build is going slowly at the moment.. Scrimping everything to pay for the respray but as you know things are tight at the moment..
It was -2C in the garage the other day when i was working on a loom for someone. I ended up dog sick until yesterday.. Going to have to be more careful in future lol
I know what you mean, cold metal is very unforgiving..

Started doing the drive bv wire computer, this does the power supplv for the servo, the power steering speed control.
The screen is to adjust the various throttle position settings, idle and anti lag speeds..
