Lol thanks mate..
Regarding the grip tape, thats a good idea.. Ive seen it done before with sand paper too... I might give it a go.. How is it in the wet?
Im going to be using the car as often as possible on the road (fuel prices here are stupid)

What are the fuel prices around you Chris?
Prices around here are $3.69/gal, which if I did the calculations right is ₤0.61/L

That's $8.05/gal, wow that's ridiculous. The price I said was for 87 octane, for 93 octane it's $3.93/gal or £0.65/L
Between my wife and I, we spend about £250/mo. on gas.

I know its stupid..
My wife is out of work at the moment and i work within 5 miles of home but we still spend £150 a month on fuels... I have a 2.5 V6 diesel audi, a sport model, i have to drive it so carefully to keep the economy up.. Seriously you spend so long in this country looking at the speedo and MPG indicator its amazing when you find time to look at the actual road..

My wife has a 6 mile round trip drive to work, but I drive 95 miles a day during the week just to go to school and work. She drives a Mercedes C230 that gets 31mpg and I drive a 4cyl Highlander that gets 22mpg. I figured out that we spend $5100/yr just on gas, but if we paid those prices it would be almost $23k/yr.
I'd give it a shot. If you don't like it, you can always put your covers over them...

Small update for tonight.
I have finished the major work on the drive by wire computer. The futaba servo arrived so i put it all together..
The linkages are far from done but this video shows the speed at which it will go from fully closed to fully open. There is an audiable jitter in the background, that is simply the computer switching between fast and normal idle as the voltage input is floating.
I have a stack of work to do tomorrow for various customers so im hoping to have the DBW wrapped up over the weekend..

Just managed to find a bit of time this evening to do some more mocking up for the drive by wire actuator unit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afwRVZRwkEA
The video shows a bit of random playing. There is a bit of jitter which i need to filter out, and i need a new case for the actuator as the mechanism ended up a little bigger than i wanted. The geometry is also in need of tuning as the mechanism binds up slightly at the idle end of travel- which coincidently is the part of travel with the highest need for accuracy lol..

the drive by wire will integrate with my anti lag system, so it avoids using solenoids .etc, it has the benefit of automating fast idle and making both idle speeds adjustable with the touch of a button as opposed to the idle screw then recalibrating hondata..
any news

Sorry mate- no news so far..
Ive been very busy productionising my S2000 converter.
However, i did find time to assemble the throttle actuator.. This showed a problem.. The servo i picked- albeit very very fast, did not have enough torque to resist even the emergency return spring. This was worrying in that this throttle body will be passing 650bhp of airflow, and i will need to shut the throttle quickly.
I have since bought a new very very high torque servo, not too much slower than the previous one.. This is a cost i didnt need but ive committed myself to this route.. I have the old one up for sale lol
Fingers crossed it will arrive soon..
I also recently bought a small CNC tabletop milling machine for my business, this will be a great help for my own projects too..

Awesome electronics and programming!!! Subscribing.
That rear wing looks like the paddle shiftier for T56 out there, you should do something like that one day.

Thanks mate..
The actuator does look similar to that shifter. In fact the only massive difference is that the actuator for the wing is so beefy..
It wouldnt take too much to develop a shifter mechanism to run a cable shift gearbox, or with an appropriate mechanism most other gearboxes.

In my 7+ years of loving hondas, this is by far the greatest, most in depth and intense build ever conceived.
No K swap, turbo K swap or V6 swap can hold a light to the amount of custom work you have engineered into this.
Bravo sir, Bravo. I heartily applaud your ingenuity.

That is quite a compliment, thanks very much...
Ill hopefully have more updates soon, been rather busy with other things recently..
