there was a guy selling them on ebay, i asked and he amended the design for me (had to be a bit bigger than the one he was selling to clear my alternator pulley.

I like all the work you do with electronics, it is always interesting to me to see people design electronics to do different things themselves versus waiting for a company to put something together and buy it from them.

thanks mate, me too..

there must be so many people that have ideas, often brilliant who just cant put it into practice because they either dont have the skill themselves or cant afford to pay someone..

Thanks mate thats an awesome comment! lol

I will have a damper soon, at the moment i need to find a damper compatible with my dry sump, and find a better way of attaching my trigger wheel, to the crank as opposed to the outside of the actual damper- that would make a proper mess of the timing!

At the moment, ive weighed the pulley, with the drive mandrel for the dry sump, and the trigger wheel, the pulley is almost the same weight as the b series pulley, which will dampen the vibrations as the stock did..

I have just return to HT and made a new profile. That is why I ONLY have 5 post! I went to the dark arts of V8 HP for a while. As to the legitimacy of my intention, Fab is not a problem for me. After back halfing an 89 Ford Mustang and building up a twin turbo 347 stroker. I got tried of only going straight!

I have already sourced a CRV rear end and am looking for a CRV 5spd. The CRV rear end was available to me, so I jumped on it!

Also I found this site http://www.epictuning.com/ that has numerous AWD Civic including an EG and an EF. They are working on producing a nearly bolt in rear end kit for Civics.

Keep up the good work man!

Good luck with it mate!

the CRV stuff is 10 a penny over here so it wasnt a problem for me..

EPIC tuning's build is awesome! I believe they even worked out the correct tyre sizes to offset the fact that the CRV transmission and the wagon diff ratios dont match (to stop the VC overheating).

If i can help with anything drop me a line!!

its a good idea mate, hadnt thought of it-

i just looked it up and its a VR sensor, something im trying to avoid as it adds an extra processing stage.. What ive done is found some hall effect sensors, im using bmw 540 ones, they are fairly sensible in price and produce a flawless signal..

Getting a bit worked up at the moment with nothing to do! but the good news is that the rear wing brackets should be here early next week - freshly chromed..

Then i should be able to post a video of the wing working manually (at 12v as opposed to 36v and by hand), so it wont look as fluid as it will under computer control but itll give the idea and allow me to sample the sensor values at various angles..

small update..

waiting for the rear wing stuff to turn up ive been doing a bit of tidying up..

had a brainflash, decided to add aspeed limiter circuit into the anti lag controller..

not too shabby.. this will allow me to set a speed limit or tell it to sample the current speed and not exceed it.. the control is on the steering wheel

Out of curiosity...what are you planning on governing it to? And... why?

its variable mate, to either the current speed or between 10-150mph, on some trackdays there is a pit lane speed limit, which is the only time id use it..

but mainly its there because its a simple mod, hardly any effort to install .etc

Good thinking Chris, easier to do it now, than having to go in and add it later. Better to have it and not need it, than to not have it and need it.

I agree mate.. It only took a few minutes to make, a bit longer to design obviously lol

I apologize if you already mentioned this. Are you building this for rally racing or track?

Its being built for track use.. It would be nice to be able to have a bash at time attack with it but ill see how competitive it is..

Damn... This build is coming along! I'm super excited! You actually intrigued me to do some electronics stuff to my car, and if you don't mind I'd like to PM you some questions about it after I have read and learned more so that possibly IF you don't mind you can help me to design it. Soldering it will be no problem, but I think I'm still in a bit over my head to DIVE right in... haha!

I have attached a video of the gauge running on my bench. A small change which isnt in the video is that when all the lights are lit, they all flash.

If anyone is interested, please drop me a PM. Im selling them for £60 each, and the S2000 converter is going to be sold for £105 each. All my stuff includes support, a years warranty, full manual and colour coded wiring..

You also have some choice over the design, such as led colours for the shift lights. I can add more LEDs (for an extra charge) .etc
Seeing this, I remembered it doing my research today. I forgot you sold them and if it wasn't so much to ship overseas AND the exchange rate wasn't so shitty I'd help fund your build and get one off of you! Got a question about it though. How were you able to bench test the tach like that? I think that is cool as ****. I wish you were in the US or I was in the UK, I'd be helping you everyday to learn some new and exciting stuff!

No worries at all mate- if i can help you with anything, drop me a PM, i try and reply as quick as I can..

I Sell the shift light over here for £65 + the shipping to the states is £15, so im not sure how badly that would work out..

To get the tacho to work, you simply need a function generator.. My voltage doesnt go high enough so i had to use a transistor to boost it to 12v.. Its a square wave, for every 1000RPM, increase the frequency by 30hz.. So 2000RPM = 60hz and so on..
