Sick build I love the detail and all the electrical. I work on forklifts and I always wondered how I can incorporate all the little electronics I deal with and this thread is showing me how and giving me ideas. Im glad I just found this now and not when you started it lol I woulda been checking for updates every day

Really thanks for the compliments chaps

I love adding electronics to make the drivers job easier... These cars can get rather complicated- especially if you want to make them fool proof... Even though im going to be the one driving it, i still dont want temps getting out of hand (for example) when im trying to race it.. I really love having auto settings for every bit of kit.. its worth it in the end..

Im actually struggling for cash to finish it at the moment with my wife made redundant. So ive started a little business to make bespoke electronics to order.. At the moment im working on an EG civic to S2000 cluster adapter for about 15 people lol

Im currently selling at £95 which is about $160, it sorts the speedo, fuel and coolant out on the AP1 gauge. The AP2 coolant gauge is a bit different...

Im not sure if the mods would be happy with this, but i have made a few products for some people in the UK, trying to fund this build..

I have finished the converter for the S2000 cluster however before i start selling it, im waiting to be provided with a custer to test it on- just to ensure its fine..

I have finished a sequential shift light. This device simply plugs into a power source, ground, and the rpm feed to the rev counter. The LEDs light from left to right as the RPM increases. There is a small dial which allows the scale to be adjusted.

I have attached a video of the gauge running on my bench. A small change which isnt in the video is that when all the lights are lit, they all flash.

If anyone is interested, please drop me a PM. Im selling them for £60 each, and the S2000 converter is going to be sold for £105 each. All my stuff includes support, a years warranty, full manual and colour coded wiring..

You also have some choice over the design, such as led colours for the shift lights. I can add more LEDs (for an extra charge) .etc

Im working on the AP2 dash right now in fact, the only difference is that the water temperature gauge has a few extra segments..

The EF is a bit different to the EG> because the speed sensor is a reed-type, so the converter needs to be altered a bit.. It is possible and i can test it on the bench, however the EF speed sensor is noisy as hell, so ill need to put some noise reduction circuitry in it too- but i cant test it as i dont know anyone with an EF...

If you want it i can make it no problem at all, ill do my best to ensure that the speed readout is stable and doesnt jump, but you would have to send it back if its unacceptable..

Im quite confident that my noise reduction/debounce circuit will deal with any problems, but if you want to buy one when im making, id be quite happy to support you if there are any issues...

Really good build man. I'm subscribing and can't wait to see it fully transform.

I'm an EE guy, former EJ owner, and have spent WAY too much time wrenching outside in the freezing rain. So, you have my respect, sir!

Keep on it and you may very well have the hottest EJ in the world, IMO.

Careful that you don't turn this into a commercial thread. If you want to sell parts then you need to be a forum sponsor.
