Boost on a semi stock block
How much boost is "safe" on this block
B18B w/GSR head. actual compression ratio of 9.1. bored .20" over with eagle rods, and JE pistons. with a block gaurd fit by machine shop.
its a t3/t4 drag turbo system tuned with hondata w/boost option.
Thanks

there is NO set number, 12psi on a small *** turbo is easy....12psi on a holset turbo used in a mac truck is a little different.....the main question is more like how much POWER can a stock block handle....

thats a retarded answer. you should be able to make 400 with no problem. you might think about getting a diff. turbo though

exactly..if its in the hands of ME...expect that **** to be blown at 5psi on a t25...however, st00pid and the other great tuners on this board do great things

Oh really? So, if he ran stock boost on a DSM t25, it'd be ruined?

you can make good power on stock sleeves. on totally stock internals on my ITR block with inline pro head gasket and block gaurd I have run 14psi daily for 4 monthes no problems yet
That's pretty much Lane's exact setup except he's working with a stock sleeved B18C, 9.5:1 JE slugs, Eagle rods, Portflow head, Hondata, T3/T04E, etc. He only runs pump gas, makes 375whp (which isn't too bad for 12lbs.) and runs consistent 11.50's in his full interior EJ6... You have a really nice street setup to work with
I would say 12-14lbs. max but that's just me and stock sleeved motors, yes people have done more but we'll only do it unless the block is sleeved... Just my $0.02
EDIT: I'd skip the blockgaurd tho, I hate those things and you're motor will hold up just fine without it...
