ok i have a 1990 crx si with a b16a swap in it. I just got done with the rev hard turbo kit install. couple questions. Am i supposed to feel a tiny bit of exhaust comming out of the wategate with no throttle? i didnt drive it yet but i was under the hood inspecting things and i pulled on the throttle a little bit and im getting this whine from the turbo. i know its getting oil. what could that be from?

 

a whining noise? Do you mean the turbo spooling down? The wastegate should be completely closed? I dont have any exhaust coming out of mine at idle.

 

its a ear piercing whine for a second. **** is making me nervous.

the down pipe is not open. the dump tube is tho.

 

Any air leaks at all before the turbo? My intake was very loose and made the turbo super loud

 

id say take off the air filter and make sure the compressor wheel isnt driving on the housing

 

as far as i can tell it isn't. no marks or anything like that.
