Just did a t3/t4 set up on my b16. brand new turbonetics turbo.
the problem is when I give it gas it jumps from 20 vacum to 0 and stays there. You can hear the turbo spooling through the exaust but not making any psi.

Its not the bov, wastegate, no leacks in the inter cooler or the piping. I took the intercooler pipe off the turbo and preassurized it with shop air and had 5 psi. I can only think that its a bad turbo but when you shoot shop air in the turbo it spools and makes preassure out of the outlet. Im running out of ideas. Any one have this problem before.

is your boost gauge installed correctly?

 

yeah it is

 

have you checked your charge pipes for holding pressure?

 

sure the vacum line are hooked up right?

 

yes and yes.

 

maybe ur wastegate is stuck and its letting all the boost out of the dump tube.

 

what kind of turbo is it?
