Default lude dies while driving

hey guys, does anyone why my lude dies while shifting gear? the rpm drops really low when changing gear and the engine shuts off. Any ideas? TIA!!

ya thats all i can thiink of is it any 2 gears that it does it or all the time

thks for replying. it only happen once. i was going downhill towards a turn, i shift into neutral and it dies. i put in gear to start it. i try it in neutral while driving, the rpm drop really low that it almost die again. thks guy, i'll ck the valve lash

is the oil light on...might want to check the oil pressure too as mine did this many times

You take that long to shift? Anyways, after u check those two. Tell me where your car idles at when sitting still. ( at running temp )

If only happened once then I wouldn't worry about it as much. Try this drill .. Let car warm up to op.temp., in Nuetral rev engine to 3000 rpm and watch where the RPM drops to. If it goes below 700 RPM at all then you must adjust your idle using the 'Idle adjusting screw' on your throttle body. >> Start the car, let warm up, remove IACV 2P connector, adjust idle by using the idle Adjusting screw on the TB, set to about 550 rpm, shut the car off, plug the IACV 2P connector, Reset the ECU, and start back up. You should should be 750-780 RPM after the reset.

i haven,t got a chance to check the valve yet. the oil the didn't come on, but i did change the oil. it was a little low. my tranny fluid was low too, so i changed it. my lude ides at about 1100rpm @ op.temp.it is turbo my tuner set it. it runs a little better after i changed the fluids. but it still wants to die once a while. i 'll check the valves asap. thks guys for replying. i let u guys know after the valve job.

test for vacume leaks while your at it... couldn't hurt
