d16y8 Swap
Just wanna know, what kinda troubles am i ganna run into with swapping in a d16y8 with a 99 ex trans, into a 94 civic. I know the OBD thing and already found a OBD2A to OBD1 converter, other than wireing the vtec and that, any problems?

you can use your stock wiring harness, and p28 ECU. Some sensors will be left unpluged on y8. y8 tranny will go in no problem.

if u run the obd2 ECU i haven't seen anyone make a harness that goes from obd2ECU into and obd1 car. most people convert an obd2 car to obd1 ECU. thats why in that other thread we used the P28, because to convert our OBD1 92-95 civics to obd2 its alot of work. u have to run lines for the crank angle sensor, knock sensor, vtec parts, some sensor on the fuel rail, and u don't use some of the stock obd1 parts which are in your firewall harness.
find a P28 ECU, and change your dizzy on the y8 to a d15b,
their are tons of threads covering wireing in vtec.
